It's pretty easy there's a video input on the back on the hu probably the hardest thing is running the long wire from the rear all the way up. Run the wire on the frame as best you can. Don't run it on existing wires to preventing any kind of pinching or tearing of the cord. I wrapped my with electrical tape just to be safe. Hope this helps

dont feel like reading this group buy...but did the kit come with a wiring harness that plugs into your factory plugs with wires coming out the other side?

If not..go to walmart or best buy or something and ask for a wiring harness for the tacoma... it will have a plug on one end..and wires on the other...similar to what plugs into the back of your unit yet this will plug into the truck.

then match colors and splice the wires together..then plug in..and your done.

I just bought one of these radios. I'd sure like an audio schematic for the non JBL w/ the flux compactor. I'm thinking if ripping that one out and putting in a 10. Would the wiring be adequate for an amp? Hmmm. Also how do I get to my Roof speakers?

    Thanks.

I do believe that you have to use the factory brackets. I'm in the process I doing an install and there wasnt any metal brackets in mine.

    499.99 + tax were talking about another $40in tax = $540
Secondly they only include the Dash kit and the harness already comes in the HU package. The dash kit is not metra its a generic brand which i can get for $12

    My prices
    $437 (HU) + $22 (Metra Dash Kit) + $50 (Steering wheel control Adapter)+ $20 (Shipping) the total equals $529

take consideration you get the PAC swi-rc which is not included in crutchfields

and your telling me its not a good deal ????
