here is my garage. huge work in progress... i just moved here at the end of November. The orignal homeowner didnt really seem to take care of anything. so, this year is interior gutting and repairs, next year will be re-siding the garage.

here is my dad helping me paint it (i had to paint it for FHA requirements)

and the beginning of the interior gutting and a huge wasp nest! i have more pictures but they are all on my phone right now. i just have the ceiling to tear down and finish the repairs before i can put the walls back up.

Tons of potential there! And I know the feeling... my entire home was in rough shape when I bought it. Spend a good two years doing not much else but gutting and remodeling. But now, almost every inch is new in and out, and just how I would like it. Good luck!

This shows most of my "garage". I say that because I use this space for working on my own stuff. Can't get it all in one photo. 9600sqft of total floor space. 1200 sqft of office and storage space.

The one here on Carling has a sign that says no working on vehicles in the parking lot or whatever. But I've got a picture of me replacing a T coolant line on my ranger years ago right beside the sign and refilling the cooling system since it all pissed out on the ground. lol

Here's the rest of the garage and better pics of the workbench!

    20170729_123654.jpg 20170729_123709.jpg 20170729_123718.jpg 20170729_123805.jpg 20170729_123937.jpg 20170729_123947.jpg 20170729_124004.jpg

And to answer the question, yes, unless I'm working in the garage it always looks like this. Ignore how dirty the floor is. Previous owners didn't really care at all, about anything, ever. I'll be cleaning them next summer.

Looks like you'll have a helluva time taking the garbage out or getting back into the house.o_O

How do you like the lateral file cabinets with swing-up doors? I considered those quite a bit in the recent past.

Oh I would haha I just use the front door for all that. I love those things. You can usually find them for free on Craigslist. Then I made some vinyl decal labels and loaded them up. I have a flammable fluids drawer, lawn and garden, factory Tacoma parts, Guin accessories, and a few others. They're great for organizing all the random garage stuff.

Just finished my little garage. It’s only 12x24 but it’s big enough to get Tacoma in when I need to.
