Typical dealerships. But still even at $49k. That’s about $6k cheaper than a24’ TRD sport my local dealer has coming in.

I’d be lying if I said I haven’t spent more time searching for zr2s than Tacomas in the past week

Ask the dealer to give you supplier pricing, some will. It's about the same discount as employee. If you want to find a 2023 ZR2 well under MSRP, it's not difficult at all. Although again region makes a difference, just like Toyota. Best deals for GM are around Michigan in my experience. Lots talk up Rivard in Florida for GMC. High volume, low prices, no BS. 2023 Canyon, 4WD, AT4, $43,725 (MSRP $49,520). My SR5 4WD Double Cab Auto 5' bed allocation with heated seats and mudflap jive is just $1000 less than that. Yeah, I'm not taking my allocation.

My company gives us supplier pricing but the Colorado isn’t on the list of eligible vehicles. I guess I could ask anyways

Most dealers that are the big 3 advertise employee pricing if the area is a hotbed for employees. Ford dealers do the same thing, so many people qualify for the price it makes sense to show that price. Some manufacturers have better deals than others for their employees. Mazda sucked, S plan was crap when I worked for them.

I like the LZ0 and will purchase one or a new TRD Off-Road. The belt service was upped by GM to 200k, but a hassle regardless.

Boo my company isn’t part of it. Although I’d probably go to Rivard in Tampa for a GMC as they’re priced lower than supplier so I’m told.

Bilsteins 5100 set at .085 Rear custom 1" add a leaf 265/70 R17 tires. Custom made aluminum tonneau cover with bike rack. 4x4 conversion with 4Runner transfer case.
I was exploring that option, but the rear seat is kind of too uncomfortable. Worst than previous Frontier.

I was window shopping here in S Indiana Sunday. Saw this on the lot. Not sure where you are, but sounds like you're dealing with markup.

Won't say where, but I got a buddy who's a sales manager in CA giving me the choice to pick up a TRD OR 5ft MT with Upgrade package for $49k, before taxes and no markup for me. That's an insanely tough pill to swallow.

$53k OTD for a mid spec'd Taco. :der: $53k feels like it would go a bit longer with another truck.

Well, I'm seeing locally on Toyota's inventory search TRD Sports with Premium package at $55k. Huh you say? Yeah, I don't get that either as the Limiteds are $55k typically. So if you can actually get one with the Premium package at MSRP it's probably the best you will do for at least until we see how successful the dealers are with markups on these. I suspect they will soon have to revert to below MSRP pricing which really means MSRP once you add back in the crap add-ons they force on you.

I hope so. I think a couple of things are non in stealerships favor at the moment. 1) Tacoma generally has a pretty good supply rate since they sell over 250k per year. This is unlike the current highlander situation for example. 2) Tax returns are poor this year so stealerships hoping for a good boost from that in sales are likely to be disappointed. 3) I believe Toyota slightly overreached on the pricing of the Tacoma. 4) Economy, while not faltering, is not exactly booming as the continued costs of inflation hit people's wallets.

For item #3, the Limited trim version for example represents around a $10k year over year price increase. That maybe is justified but if you look online you can find in some cases an equivalent (trim-wise) Tundra selling for the same price as the Tacoma and that seems ludicrous.

That one is interesting......On Toyota's site that is the TSRP/MSRP. But on the allocation list it is $42003 and includes 18" TRD Wheel, Exhaust Tip, Predator Running Board, 50 State Emissions, 6-Gallons of Gas, Carpet Floor Mats, Deck Rail and Cleats, SET Digital Portfolio, XP.

$340 for carpeted floor mats is tough to swallow. You can get an entire set of Weathertechs for around $200.

Yea, honestly, as much as I wanted the 4th gens I just couldn't do it. While prices may drop at a later time as demand goes up, based on today's pricing, I couldn't get myself to pay $60k for a mid-size truck in MT. I also had a chance to test drive the 4th gen, and while it was much nicer than the 3rd gen, it just wasn't worth $10-15k more than a 3rd gen, so I just bit the bullet and ended up picking up a 3rd gen.

I'm sorry but for 55-60k, the 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor, is a far more lucrative and competitive option. It starts at 53K and not sure about how much standard features it got for that price. But it got a TT V6 thats more powerful than Tundras, and off-road tech that is about 5 years ahead of what will be in Trd Pro, the OR doesn't even hold a candle to a Raptor. Its just bang for your buck.

I got my 17 TRD Pro manual cement grey, brand new, for 40k even, that was almost 7 years ago. It even had a technology package. What's the tech in these trucks now to justify $15k-20k increase? The sub 300hp turbo 4 banger? Are you kidding me

Yes I realize vehicle availability, wait times, re-sale numbers ect. But with the numbers we have now on paper, tell me what justifies these prices for these trucks, TRD Pro trim is not even priced out yet! A 4banger Taco for 60k is not right, and if there is no better alternatives to get a better truck for 60k, then its a very bad situation we're getting into.

This will be the same deal once the 2025 4Runner hits, how will it differ or compete in prices with its TWIN the LC? The GX550 at least got a bigger engine and separate engineering technology, to justify the $10k price jump over LC. As someone said before Toyota is overreaching a bit with the pricing, so hopefully this will make the competition more compelling.

Main problem I see is with current Tacoma pricing new or slightly used Tundras or other full-sized trucks become competitive with them. I mean you get slightly worse mpg with Tundra but it's not so dramatic as to make up the difference in it being a much nicer truck so dunno. I'm still interested in Tacoma limited but I won't pay MSRP for it as just makes no sense to me. Has to be closer to 50k and I don't want a bunch of crap added on so not sure I'll be able to get one and now am considering full-size trucks.
