torque is what you want in a truck for application, not HP.

    You need both.

Signed, a guy who tows his race trailer with a 185hp diesel that fucking sucks despite having 400lb-ft of torque

But even so, the 3.0 makes pretty good low end torque.

Sounds like you've not owned a Ford in the last 10-15 years. They trick you with that bang for your buck. You find out pretty fast that none of it is built to last.
Also, not to nit-pick but the cheapest you can get a raptor is $57k to the lot. All of the inventory in a 100mi radius from me has the stupid $750 raptor sticker on it. Gotta love the $1500 beadlock ready wheels, that require another $1500 to make them actual beadlocks (and also not street legal)

I'm seeing dealers already (before they hit the lot) advertising below MSRP (saw it on a limited). That's again good news as we all know these trucks had their price set too high. Special versions like TRD Pro they might be able to still hose you one (we'll see) but guessing avg one that is not a hybrid is going to sell for below MSRP.

One local dealer I had inquired about a price with that came back with a ridiculous quote already caved on 1/2 of the nonsense when I just pushed a little. Still won't buy from them without a good bit more concessions but at least it shows they are also not so confident in their ability to push above MSRP.

I had bought brand new 2018 Raptor for 1k below MSRP, at the time they were putting mark ups on these trucks, but they were also plentiful on the lots. My Tacomas were great, but the Raptor was the best truck I ever had, it was an awesome daily, felt like a rocket ship after my MT Taco, and all the tech on it wasn't gimmicky, everything was designed from the ground up and worked as advertised, Raptors are not just a standard truck with a lift kit aka the Tundra TRD PRO.

I won't argue with longevity, but at the time I switched vehicles every two years, so for me it didn't matter, I've slowed down some. I actually hear the High Output TT V6 of the Ecoboost you get in the Raptor was more reliable compared to the standard one, since it got more robust internals.

I agree on the stickers, that's a very dumb option, I actually wanted beadlock ready wheels, $1500 is pretty cheap to get black wheels, OEM wheels on the 18s were ugly, its more expensive to get them aftermarket. What you can do to go around, since they can't take the stickers or wheels off is negotiate the price down to cover those accessories, or if they don't want to take it down, have them throw in a bunch of other goodies $750 or $1500 dollars worth. They won't let $750 stop them selling you the truck.

Ok Beaver Toyota are special kinds of ass-hats. I would never buy there. Also I feel the same about Warner Robins as they are the ones that have tried to outright charge big markups on vehicles (and still do). Give it time I say. Things are not going their way. I have a Lexus dealer who keeps lying to me outright but still keeps calling back lowering prices on a vehicle I once considered. They are getting more desperate so time is definitely on our side.

I looked at a 2021 TRD PRO certified from them in 2022 and they wanted like $5k over market (all their vehicles are like that) then they sent me a video with some stupid bell in their showroom they ring after someone buys a car. I was definitely not buying for multiple reasons from them.

I'm guessing all of the new Tacoma prices listed at their website are pure fiction.

Not sure, you could try, but they were definitely a**hats if your in GA try Valdosta, I got my 2022 from them, was in and out in 30 mins no pushy sales, MSRP on my 2022 (back when it was ADM) they actually dealer traded for the LR and $39k trade in on my 2020 w/46k miles back in Sept 2022, got the toyota finance special rate at the time, was an easy transaction, drove 10 hours round trip for it, but I'd definitely buy from them again.

I think he has been mentioned here before but I just put a deposit down with Jim Rouleau on a 4g. Just over $3k off MSRP.

Well, they are going to push a lot of crap onto you besides whatever the price supposedly is. They love to push their "Beaver Benefits" package. Yeah, I know that name is crazy given it's Beaver Toyota located in Cumming, GA. My co-workers all laugh about that as it's not the kind of benefits they would want. So, add that plus other way higher then normal fees and everything I had them quote in the past on other cars has been a joke. I'm willing to go even to TN or AL to get a deal but I suspect dealers on the south side of Atlanta will be just as good given they don't have the numbers of wealthy suckers to draw on where they are located.

    Guam prices are sky high!
SR DC Pre-Runner with the BSM package is going for $43k out the door and the loaded TRD Off-Road is at $60k!!! Seems like it is beyond affordable.

Ordering the color and adding scene lighting. Everything else is pretty much standard. Hard deciding between Terra and Underground. I saw a post with underground today and I was hoping it was more MGM instead of single stage Toyota paint.
