    Woah, very nice!!!

At the other end of the spectrum, more snub shenanigans. :D

The Pachmayr gripper professional grips showed up today so I put them on. I think they are a lot more appropriate for an old roscoe than the presentation grips. They were really comfy and I pointed well with them, so off to take the massive recoil on the 17-9 they go! It’s a target/bullseye gun for me.

    84BDE83B-2A8D-4C57-9FAF-D54CF6BD94E1.jpg

Since I was in the safe anyway I started messing with my growing holster collection. That’s a IWB holster for 5 shot j frames, LCR’s, etc.

    E75FB7CB-082C-4A11-A098-DAD37DF86AAE.jpg

What the heck? “Carries like a J frame, shoots like a real gun” indeed. The 10-5 2” is 1 pound heavier on my scale than the LCR, and a finger groove taller in the grip with the pacmahyrs... probably the same height with the regular splinter grips...

    LCR in the same suit
    047C7C64-933F-4BF3-94AF-D75F5DFBCD33.jpg

    BDB64FBB-C12A-4E56-B303-A45787990E27.jpg 7D8B5F38-B2F6-4F3C-9704-D64FD6AB99C1.jpg 708E04A7-834E-4CAD-A48A-38A9C990BCF7.jpg
Maybe now that the nice new magnas from my 17-9 are replaced they should find a home on the 10 with a grip adapter after all. Maybe I should also more seriously look for a model 12 or 315...

Also note the distance between the trigger and backstrap on both guns. No wonder an LCR feels so good... the grip is sized like a k frame. J frames are too cramped for me and my trigger finger gets pinched.

no pics, but I love me some wheel guns, especially in uncommon calibers.

Smith 325PD- 45acp, titanium cylinder, scandium frame, lighter than a loaded G19
Ruger Blackhawk Buckeye- 10mm single action, unfortunately I don't have the 38-40 cylinder they originally came with
Ruger Redhawk 4" 44mag, need to get another 44 long gun to pair with it
    Ruger Security 6 2 3/4" in 357
    Kimber K6S 3" 357

Just sent this one off to Gemini for Marc's "Carry Package". I am also waiting on a holster from Simply Rugged. It's the same weight as my 629 5", but packs a lot easier due to the barrel length. It actually shoots really well.

nooope. My 325PD has enough pop for me. For 44mag my 4" Redhawk is perfect for me.

I usually carry a 300 gr hard cast load at 980 fps or a heavy 44 special load with a 200 gr GDHP at 1025 fps. Those two loads will handle anything where I hunt.

So, I’m finding myself taking my S&W 1917 more and more often when I head to the high desert. I can’t identify a specific reason. It just seems to fit with my Jeep.

I like S&W revolvers as long as they don't have the damn lock on them. My favorites are the 3" K frames. 64, 65, 65-5 LS, and the 66.
