this is the most accurate revolver I have ever shot. its a sentinel (or something like that) my FIL inherited it from a lady he used to help take care of. 9 shot .22 lr this was my wife's first attempts at shooting it and she managed to blow the knot out of that cedar board once she got the hang of it. It did have a timing issue or something and there were a few cylinders that the firing pin would miss, you could see the strike marks where it missed the round.
and this charter arms .327 is her EDC
that is about an 8" 3 shot group from 25 yards, and even the cheap soft point american eagle rounds do some pretty nasty things recovered that from the mud after missing turtle.

Love the finish on this gun, from back when companies really blued their guns.

Mostly I carry it camping or hiking, during bear season, etc. Too large and bulky for EDC, and I've got a couple of slim semis for that anyway. Great shooter, though. Sweet trigger, and very accurate for a shorter barrel

I like how 4" can be a short barrel depending on who you ask haha

Meh. Shorter. A buddy of mine has a 2" that is quite accurate, but my dad's 6" 686 is a nail driver. It'll pattern a ragged hole in SA mode.

Edit- it's also a hell of a paperweight.

I feel like 4" is a sweet spot for multi purpose. Still nice to shoot with full house loads, gets a good bit better velocity than shorter barrels but pretty managable to carry especially owb, but ive managed for over a year iwb with one

I like the 4" for a woods sidearm. I want to shoot a doe with my 66 this fall if possible. Unless I decide to start carrying my 10mm Glock instead.

mine and my dad's that he asked me to find for him, a .357 mag with 4" barrel for less than $300. I think after the ffl fee, credit card fee and shipping I went like $6 over budget. just a rossie, but it shoots pretty good; he is not a good shot with a hand gun, mostly due from lack of experience, but he did manage to kill a couple of young coyotes while he was out on the tractor one day with it

It does stage real good. I would never pay that much for a Pistol / Revolver, It was a retirement gift from a friend. It uses the same holster as my Ruger SP101 hammerless. It has been my EDC ever since I got it.

I love the old wheelies made in the USA, functional craftsmanship at it's best.

Bought a new black S&M BodyGuard gripped with a carbon color grip (applied myself which far exceeds the oem hand grip that is also nice to begin with).

I wanted a slim conceal revolver that packs heat while also serving as an easily concealable ‘truck gun’.

Altogether, a 5 shot .38+P with a built in Crimson Trace laser, hammerless and two stage trigger loaded with hydrashocks.

Loving it so far. I hope I qualify for this thread! Lots of nice looking hand canons here!

    :fingerscrossed:
