We all knew he bit off a little more than he could chew, he worked his butt off to get us the sliders, I got mine a couple weeks after I paid. It is a great product and I would buy from him again, but maybe I have a different perspective because I got mine already. Goodluck to everyone and I hope he gives some more frequents updates and gets your guys your sliders.

 

guys, call bbb, or paypal or cc company and get your money back. tell him you would be more than happy to resend the money after the are completed andyou see pictures of 20 or so(however many of you orderd then) in a pile ready to go out. months of waiting..are you kidding. i just got in on the grillcraft order, if its not in my possesion in 3 weeks, i will take the same actions. i will not wait months, and your sliders def cost more than the grill. Goodluck to you all, an asshole is an asshole, but this guy is just plain and simple a dick.

Yeah..I'm in the same boat as you now. I'm impressed with the product and I guess one of te lucky few that got theirs.

I'm very dissappointed that I defend Derek tho...The amount of work he did and his illness explained alot to me....but at this point he's gotten tons of chances to fix the customer service/information flow and he hasn't.

I couldn't have said it better myself. I just finished painting these metal beasts and I am getting them welded on Thurs...... The way I see it is unfortunate both ways. For the guys, who have paid their hard earned money and haven't received their sliders and for Derek, who besides his "health setbacks" has not been upfront with the updates and will probably lose business down the road...I hope you all get this resolved.

 

They have been sitting in my garage waiting for me to paint them. I need to get crackin on these things.

i think i may call him today and ask for my monies back.

 

I emailed him yesterday, and asked for a refund. $430 is too much money to throw at something, and get nothing back.

 

Finally got a reply from derek this morning...

and $430? did you buy more than one set? just curious.

 

I think Mac had kickouts with sleeves welded on at the shop and shipped like that. So the build cost more...and the shipping was significantly more....IIRC.

 

When I talked with derek, he hadn't welded the sleeves on yet, so it was just kickout sliders then. I told him to cancel it, so I assume he didn't weld the sleeves. I haven't heard back from him yet.

and he didn't even post up in this thread?!? this is just odd. i hope i still get my sliders, but i don't think i would ever recommend dealing with this guy again, and i'm definitely not going to deal with him again personally.
