he claimed my MO went out today. said his "phone has been dead..." you can continue his excuse if you wish.

i really hope this all gets resolved soon. based on what i've been reading it's just the two of you guys left to get sliders? well, and mah money.

hopefully we're close. i can't wait to put this awful experience behind me.

Has anyone else had any issues with the product? This better be some quality stuff after this amount of time.

 

SecretSquirrel is real unhappy with the quality of his. He is planning on cutting them apart and reconfiguring.

 

pretty much if im unhappy with mine.. im SOL.. cause i dont know jack and shit about welding...

 

Menametony, I would find someone in your area with some expertise... I'm sure there's someone local on a board somewhere that could help... Or take it to a shop someone local to you recommends. I've found a bunch of shops local to me that I never would have even heard of if it wasn't for this internet/forum word of mouth.

 

with my bumper the some of the bolts that hold the light bar on are located too close to the base of the bar so i cant fit the washers on.... everything else looks good so far

i just don't see how derek could have made this experience any worse. i guess if he never responded and never delivered a single pair of sliders... tha'd be worse.

 

Yep!! Mine I had to cut the legs because they were not even by about a 1/4 inch. Well the welder didit it costed me extra dollars for him to get them right. I do wish there was 1 more support in there but i slid the truck on them and had no probs. Only time will tell.

 

Stupid question but do the gussets go on top or below the legs? I thought on top. I picked mine up and the tard welded them on the bottom

 

On top.... they can act like a catch on the bottom>

 

What do you mean catch?

 

meaning when you are sliding off rocks and such, they will catch on the gussets,since they are angled at the bottom. they are supposed to be mounted on top, for strength.

I would just get some more gussets to have welded on top but there is not enough room on the plate now. What should I do?

 

What will said. Me I go back to the guy that welded them on and tell him to do it again.

 

you may have to kinda use whats left of the plate, and the frame to weld some gussets to. it sucks, but it may be the only way now.

 

Since I have a prerunner with locker I cant get into any rough situations. Do you think I might be fine with the way it is?

 

Judging by the rocks in the avatar you might want to think about it.

The best way to do it would be to grid off the frame weld and cut off the plates and gussets. Then make some new plates and gussets. Pain in the ass. May cost a few dollars too. Or just run it see what happens.

 

its possible.....but with pics like that in your sig........still a high chance on catching them on something.
