Awesome dude! Welcome to the best sport in the world!!! Learning how to ride toe and just trying to carve was the best year of snowboarding... now I've gone up to park riding. It's fun but not as much fun as when I first started riding back in 2000.

WHat do you guys think, my brother (no he is not a midget, yes he is healthy, no he has no disorders) is only 5'2"-5'3" and weighs about 120lbs. He is 20 years old. I checked out some websites and they list 139-143 as his size snowboard. Can he ride a kids board that matches that size? He wants to get into snowboard and I found a whole burton setup (boards, boots, and bindings) that all fit his size, but its for kids. Does it matter?

    Snowboard!

I have a old K2 board with a coors light graphic on the bottom. I went boarding yesterday @ Sierra in Tahoe. What a beautiful day it was and soo much fresh powder. I am going this tuesday as well.

Doesn't matter. Height is not as important to weight when deciding what board to get. The most important is the comfort of the boots. Get him the kids gear since he's a noob... then maybe in a year or so when he gets better, he can buy a better board and use the same bindings and boots. I'm 5'10 160 lbs and ride a 152cm for parks and jumps, and trail riding.
