Official Spoilers for Star Wars Movies/TV Shows in General

Before episode 1 came out and I was al hyped up, reading every magazine that had any article in it, I remember seeing that Ewan McGregor was specifically chosen because he most closely resembled Alec Guinness. They had a half and half of their faces photo, with like 3 points of resemblances. Like as in modern times he could pass on facial recognition.

So with how many years Ewan McGregor has aged since ep1, 2, & 3...with a little make up, they could make him look however old he need to be in his own movie.

I see this happening before a Boba Fett movie honestly. Plus they could tie up "loose ends" from Solo if needed and who doesn't want more Ewan McGregor? One of the bright spots from I,II,III if you ask me

 

His acting was definitely better than Hayden Christensens. I do know that Ewan said it was a bummer having to do 90% of the acting on green screen.

 

Well with how the new directors are I doubt it'll be 90% green screen

The guys that created this should have been involved in the new Star Wars movies. I'll never go see another one they have fucked the story up so badly. The prequels were horrible but fuck Star Wars since Disney took over. And fuck Rian Johnson for that last movie. He singlehandedly destroyed everything that was great about the original Star Wars. Now they have given him three more movies after the last one? Fuck that. I saw Star Wars when I was 7 and watched all three growing up. But the last one was the end for me. There was so much stupid shit in that fucking movie that I can't believe they released it. Leia wonderwomaning back to the ship, Luke force projecting instead of actually fighting, taking a ship and burning through another with light speed???? I mean what in the actual fuck??? If they could do that then why not just put up a ship with no one on it and light speed through the fucking Death Star? Fuck this fucking movie and everything that comes after it. They have completely ruined it for me.

 

But wait aren't we supposed to like 8 because it subverted our expectations?

 

I thought the director from The Force Awakens was coming back because Rain Johnson messed up so bad? Aren't they going to retcon a chunk of The last Jedi? ex: like Luke only gives Rey 2 of the 3 lessons he promised her. So I heard somewhere that the whole ending of TLJ was part of her dream/training similar to when Luke went into the cave and fought Vader and then under Vader's mask was Luke's face (Ep.V).
This is supported by Rey has the blue lightsaber in the new trailer (it was destroyed in TLJ ending) and also supported by Mark Hammil is signed on for the next film (although he could be a force ghost).

I actually really liked that part, it was the only good part of the film.

 

I think Mark Hamill is most likely going to be in the last movie. But during an interview he basically said he didn't like the way that his character was treated in TLJ. "Luke would never act like that". I realize we are talking about a movie and it holds no real value in real life. My issue is I grew up with IV, V, and VI. They were amazing to me as a kid growing up and I loved the story. When JJ Abrams directed the TFA, it was A New Hope clone. But I could forgive that because it was meant to draw in a new generation of people that didn't grow up watching the original Star Wars. But fuck Rain Johnson with TLJ. Everything about that movie sucked. When they blew up the ship that was a perfect way for Leia to go out. For christ sake... she's fucking dead in real life. But noooo..... She flies back to the ship and she's still around. Then the entire scene with letting the animals go was just fucking stupid.

I agree that seeing the ship jump to light speed and destroy the other ship was filmed well. And it was visually stunning. But why all the secrecy before hand? Let's let all these other ships with people on them get destroyed before thinking..."Hey... we could just use our ship to destroy the other by jumping to light speed?" Again... it was cool to see but after that it was fucking stupid. If that's all they ever had to do to destroy something then all they ever have to do from this point on is throw up a ship and light speed through the motherfucker.

Then they turned Luke into a pussy and he just "force projects" himself instead of actually fighting? Fucking stupid and the ending was horrible. This is how Luke dies? Fuck Star Wars. They have completely ruined the franchise for me.

 

I noticed what looked like The Ghost from Star Wars: Rebels behind the Falcon.

 

I’ve been telling myself since I seen 8 that I wouldn’t waste my money on this one in theaters. But might as well see the ship if it’s gonna crash and burn one last time right?

 

I said the same, but I will give this one a chance, since they did recognize the mistake they made with 8 and they brought back rian(?) the old director "to fix what the other guy messed up"
Plus come on, its a Star Wars film...in the long run I can get mad and say I'm not going to watch it or acknowledge it as a canon entry, but really I'm just lying to myself I'm still going to go see it in theater.

 

Other way around. Rian messed it up with 8 and they're bringing JJ Abrams back for 9. Collin Trevorlow was supposed to direct 9 but backed out for some reason. He did the Jurassic World movies

Fuck Rian Johnson. I didn’t know it was possible to ruin a storyline that bad. Makes the latest fast and furious movies look like masterpieces
