They are different sects. I think it's like the difference between like being Jewish or being Orthodox Jewish. They share the same beliefs but have different rules and practices in place as their sects interpretation of the ideology.

I'm no expert, just my observation.

 

Sounds right. Din is also at a crossroads in his life where he fell back into an old habit when he was just beginning a period of change. I expect this freedom from restrictions will open him up for better, deeper relationships going forward.

 

I feel like Grogu is in a similar place as well.

The Jedi Order was a huge part of his life, but that connection to Din that Ashoka mentioned, along with the fact that he’s a Mandalorian foundling, has him straddling different worlds as well.

Honestly, I think that’s one of the main themes of the Mando/Grogu storyline; the fact that neither really fit in their old lives, but could have this amazing life as a clan of two.

 

That was (pretty much) what I hoped the whole season would be like. Robert Rodriguez kinda doesn't get the vibe at all. There was a lot of fluff, the giant droids couldn't hit a thing, no one died. Krrsantan is quickly becoming a favorite, Fennec did what I thought about every time I looked at that mayor, could you just hang him from his weird ass neck? Cad Bane dead? I doubt it. The shootout was disappointing to me, I really hoped they did the "tie" like it was supposed to be in TCW. Boba on Rancor Kong made up for most of the shortcomings. Mandos blasting folks while rocking the jetpacks is always cool. I give that episode a 6/10.

I'm very glad Robert Rodriguez has no part of Kenobi. Speaking of, they've announced that there will be 3 Inquisitors in Kenobi, so if you're unfamiliar with what they are, go watch Rebels

 

Agree about Rodriguez - don’t want to see him helming season 2. I also thought the fight should have had more casualties. Rancor being afraid of fire…after withstanding direct blaster fire? WTF?

Then I had a 15-minute long nerdgasm. Pretty sure that Rankong threw Luke’s old speeder at the Freetowners.

Cad Bane’s dead. That fight went too fast, though.

Not sure what the drama will be for season 2 of BoBF, unless it somehow involves the return of the Hutts.

 

I have my doubts about Bane. I bet Todo shows up to help him. Maybe he was stabbed in an implant or something. They lingered on his body with a faint heart beat and beeping so who knows.

 

It was good to see Cobb Vanth alive in the post credit scene

 

I enjoyed the finale but was pretty bummed about how they handled Cad Bane. His character was SO GOOD and he had what, maybe 10minutes of total screen time on 2 episodes? Seems like a complete waste if he is truly dead. My only hope is A) He isn't dead, which the beeping on his chest made me hopeful or B) he is dead and we get flashbacks to flesh out the history between Boba and Cad in season 2 or a much younger version of Cad is in Kenobi...

I love Grogu but they cheesed it up way too much for cutesy moments. It's kind of like Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy. Baby Groot in GotG2 was hilarious and cute, but by the end credit he was a teenager and contributing member of the team. I'm ready for a bit more of a functional Grogu instead of the toddler-esque version they are hamming up...

I also got fooled on the 'who is in the tank' ending. Boba mentioned he was going to let Krrs use it during the fight but after Boba said 'its being used' Krrs came came around the corner so I got hopeful and thought he saved Cad, which would've been a way to flashback through their history while he was in the tank a la the first couple episodes with Boba and the Raiders. So when it was the Marshall I was like...meh...but also I like the Marshall so hopefully they make him a major character in S2

 

Yup wish Cad didn't die, hopeful it's not because what a waste of a live action render of him, not a fan of him tho as he always pissed me off but it makes for a better show whenever he was in CWs, Rebels, or BB. Could create issues for Season 2 which would be cool, I think he'll be back in BB season 2 tho. But yeah that fight was way to short so I think in season 2 they need to flesh out the history a bit more, could even bring back teenage Boba (and bring back the actor from Episode II)

Finale other than that was a good 6.5-7, I think Rodriguez needs to not be at the helm next season. This could've been just as good as Mando I think but missed on some things. One issue with the whole show IMO was Boba needs to keep his damn helmet on, we never saw his face until Episode II in a sense. Also he needs less dialogue and let Shand handle most of it, if those would've happened it could've been a bit better.

 

I was expecting a quick beep conversation between R5-D4 and R2-D2.

 

I saw a really off-putting comment earlier. To the kids now and growing up in the future, Yoda will be Old Grogu, not the other way around

 

R5 wasn't motivated to.
