Official Spoilers for Star Wars Movies/TV Shows in General

Went in not expecting much and left thinking to myself that this is the best one Disney has come up with yet. Really interested to see where they take it. Also, Darth Maul has always been my favorite, as @HomerTaco mentioned, a movie of Maul would be much appreciated. The name Solo 2 just doesn't sound right..

Imagine if they had Ray Park back as Darth Maul!?

 

Qi'ra is going to be a big part of the Star Wars future she's basically Mauls apprentice at this point and it's alluded to that she has some force ability. Maul is a gangster, he is the leader of the Crimson Dawn, definitely in competition with the Hutts and being actively hunted by the Empire. What I think is interesting is that the fans are giving Solo nearly 5 stars and it earned over a 100 million dollars it's opening weekend but, critics are calling it crap and a flop financially. But, if I had to choose between this and the Last Jedi it's no competition that this was the more enjoyable movie.

 

You bring up a good point about doing an Obi-Wan movie. They could wrap up all of the "loose" ends on Solo and then bring in the Canon with the movie world. But then again it's already been handled in the cartoons about Maul so who knows

 

I’m sure I’m not the only one who hasn’t watched any of the cartoons so there is probably a decent crowd out there that would be seeing the events for the first time if they did do it in a movie...

I didn’t see any spoilers pre viewing Solo but I had heard there was a cool cameo at the end and I originally thought it would be Boba Fett. Part of me was a little disappointed when it wasn’t but maybe that could be some of Solo 2, if they make it...

 

I finally got to see Solo yesterday. Amazing. Again Solo and Rogue One blow ep 7 & 8 completely out of the water.
Im in for another one, but I really want to see a Boba Fett movie, or Solo 2 be about he and Fett’s past together.

 

That’s the only acceptable direction I would be ok with Solo 2 going. If they want to tie off Qi’ra and Maul they can do it in their own film or a Obi Wan “story”. That needs to happen anyway to bridge the gap before he heads to Tattooine

 

I think Ewan McGregor said the Obi movie was in talks to start filming April 2019

 

With him attached? He’s kind of old now lol...

 

I guess that actually works in his favor now if X amount of years have passed since Ep. 3 and it takes place relatively close to Ep. 4

 

Ever heard of something called make-up? He was 39 in this role VVVVV He looks plenty old if you ask me

 

He's aged pretty well. Looks the same as he did in Revenge of the Sith last I'd seen.

IDK they did a decent job De-aging RDJ for Civil War,

I don't really want to see a young Obi Wan movie but, it wouldn't make me mad to see Qui Gon Jinn for a few more minutes

 

I think it's on pace to lose $50 million, but I agree it was much more enjoyable that than dumpster fire of movie, TLJ.
On another note, I keep hearing rumors that Luke might be back in the next film. Not as a ghost, but actually back. Anyone else hearing this?

Yep; first star wars movie to ever lose money, damn shame! I can't imagine Abrams conceiving any coherent way to bring Luke back. But, it wouldn't hurt my feeling if he treated TLJ as a dream sequence and just started over at Luke and Rey meeting!

 

The rumors I've heard have centered around the scene where he "transcends." Apparently when he disappears, his prosthetic arm doesn't fall to the ground. People are interpreting that as a sign that he may have simply "teleported" to another location.

 

Could they really of just let that robotic hand fall to the ground though? I would have LMAO had they done that!

 

Well I don't see it picking up RIGHT where III left off. More of a few years down the road which would actually work out perfectly. Say idk 14-15 years later

 

That would’ve been hilarious though. Maybe we can get a directors cut with an added scene
