Just fueled up this morning and checked mileage. MPG before lift was 19-21 mpg. This last tank of gas averaged 17 mpg. I am not disappointed with it as I knew there would be a decrease in mpg.

damn nice Truck!!!! Just got mine last week, 2011 Gray Magnetic TX Pro. Just installed FACTORY Roof Rack last night, was fairly easy, just got dark pretty fast, so moved into the Garage. Installed the Hood Deflector too.

Questons for you guys and thoughts......

-What Air filter do you recommend using, i've heard of AFE Pro-dry S. In my old Tacoma 01 I bought the TRD Filter, worked great I think, really dunno if that improved gas mileage or not...part I didn't like was having to oil it every so often.

I'm thinking of installing a Bull Bar/Guard, depending if i can fit and close my garage (pretty tight fit), more so for looks than anything...any ideas and recommendations/links.

Would like to add bluetooth to my truck any recommendations/links? Is it fairly easy to install?

    Thanks in advance,

I have the AFE Pro Dry S. I am satisfied with it. Didn't see an increase in mpg. Probably be instaling a CAI in the future.

    Stock.

The stock engine won't draw more air than the stock air filter will provide, so switching it out for an aftermarket performance one doesn't do much beyond allowing more dirt into the engine.

The truck already has a CAI.

looking to get a white 2012 dc tx pro 4x4 w/ navi. The sticker is $36,600. How much should I be able to pay OTD? The local dealer would have to dealer trade for it. Don't know the costs involved with that or how it will affect negotiations.

Tell them $34,000 out the door since it is an 2012 and that 2013 are coming out soon. Good luck.

If you got more then one dealer in the area I'm sure you will get a good deal. Here in Hawaii only got one dealer hard to get a good offer.

Hi new to the forum. Just picked up a 2011 TX-PRO used with 10,000 miles. I paid 29,500 out the door. Owned previously by a local restaurant owner who buys a new Tacoma every year. Picked up the shell just the other day paid 1200 for it.

Nice! I have the same exact truck, minus the shell. Mine is also a 2011 with 10,000 miles on it. Good to know my truck is holding its value!

Been lurking around this forum for months now gaining a lot of great insights. Thank you to so many people for helping me figure out what truck/configuration to get. I finally made the purchase in July and I'm in Utah. Here are a couple pictures

Nice truck. It's my favorite color for the Tx pro package. I think the wheels compliments the color.

Hi folks! I am looking at ordering TX pro. Do you detect any highway drone from the exhaust? I need to decide between the TX and the TX pro. Comments welcome.

    Thanks

I was worried about the same thing before my purchase, however I think the sound is puuuuuurrrr-fect! I hate noisy trucks, and the only time it's really loud is when you have your foot really down on the skinny pedal....

Alright, All you TX owners. First, I'm jealous. Second, has anyone thrown a set of Duratracs on without a lift? Anyone got a photo? I know they make them in a 265, so they will fit on stock ride hieght, but I see everyone lifting them right away and throwing bigger tires on. Not in ANY way arguing against a lift, I just won't be able to afford to do it right away when I get my TX pro, so I am planning on at least trying to get a GOOD set of tires on it.

Also, on a side note, anyone in the MD area looking to buy one of these trucks, maybe we can set up some kind of a group buy, see if they won't pull a little extra off each one for ordering a few at once?

anyone got tire to recommend, bought mine used as well, still has alot of thread life left. Just wondering what others recommend....I don't do any off roading, mainly highway/city driving and ocassional trips to the beach. Looking for something that is a nice/quiet ride and long thread life. I know the factory tires don't last as long (basing this on my old 2001 Tacoma Factory Tires). Appreciate any feedback.
