I'm looking for opinions on what to do with the fakelock rings. I'm a little tired of the brushed aluminum look and it doesn't really compliment my dark green truck and black wheels.

I'm thinking of maybe getting them painted with Spruce Mica to color match them. I really like the general look of color matched beadlock rings... but dark green and black seem like they'll blend too well in color and look too similar but just "off".

I would black them out. I think the green would look tacky. Great looking truck though, never seen the green TX Pro.

It might actually break your heart to hear then that it was literally the only 2013 6MT, AC, Spruce Mica.... period...

I ended up cannibalizing it for a 2013 V6 DCSB. I swapped the wheels and tires leaving only the TRD exhaust on the AC (honestly for a DD it was a little obnoxious. I have an STI to be loud and obnoxious with. If I wanted a good sound I would probably go with DT headers into a FM40 series muffler)

This is what it ended up as.... Plain old TRD Off Road with the wheels. (which we all know that the tx pro package was just wheels and exhaust anyway... but no sticker).

I would paint the wheels Spruce Mica and leave the rings as bare aluminum(or paint them black). I had a green 65 Nova and paint matched the wheels that turned out pretty cool looking.....

Why not go with a different color for the wheels and leave the rings alone. I think Camouflage Sand would look awesome on that green rig. I painted my black wheels Camo Sand on my trail rig and everyone is always complimenting me on it.

To any of you guys running 285's with stock uca's: question: anyone run into the tire rubbing on the uca? I'm getting ready to put some on, i'm sitting on 2.5" of lift and I know about trimming plastic and probably the cab mount- which I'm prepared to do. I've been looking at the gap between the tires (stockies) and the uca and it looks like they might rub. Thanks for any help

I posted here to say I will be trading my Longbed for a 14 Baja 6speed!!! And I can't wait, should be getting it early next week.

285 on your stock wheels will more than likely rub on your ucas. Maybe try some spidertrax spacers???

    Congrats.

The 285's are on, really close to the uca but do not rub at all.

    Thanks man!!!

I offered my 2 cents because I had that setup on my first tacoma and rubbed a little. I figured you would too. Good to hear it worked out a little better for you.

I have bfg all terrains on, so its not too bad. I think when I go with more agressive tires i'll probably get 1/4" spacers and longer studs. Thanks for your info though.

No problem, that's what we are all here for.

More 2 cents. Don't know if you've done the spacer thing before.....I'd go with either spidertrax or bora. I believe bora makes the 1/4" your looking for.

My Pro came with D rated 265/70/16 BFG AT KO's. Door sticker says 46psi and at that setting it rode like a brick. I have been running mine at 35psi with no heat issues....several folks have done the chalk test and it seems 32-33psi is about right. I set mine at 35 as that was the lowest psi I could find for LT tires on a mfgr's site. For some reason they don't list load ratings below 35psi. Best site I've found is Toyo's. I assume the cut off at 35psi is due to possible heat issue if run lower, though I'm not sure. At 35psi they are still rated at way over the Tacos load capacity and ride noticeably smoother. I ran the same tires on my 02 Tundra which always has a load and set them at 32-35psi and never had any issues.
