2in should be ok. But i think if you go any bigger than 265/75 you will get a little rubbing at full turn. And will need to chop stuff a little. I had rubbing on my flaps and wheel well. Removed the flaps and trimed the plastic stuff inside the wheel well. Not big deal.

Great I think I will do 2" up front and 1.5" in back. I think that will do.

Just go 285's from the start so you don't regret it later.

Don't waste your time taking baby steps with the smaller tires and 2"lift. You'll end up like I did wasting money getting to the end result.
I say go one step farther than me. 35's and dtf long travel. Might as well get it over with.

There's not much trimming involved with 285s on 16s, and the reward is much greater IMO. :D

Yea I'm actually starting to lean towards 285/75/16 in BFG KO2s to start and then bump up to 35's one those are dead.

So I went and got 265/75r16 ko2's put on today from discount tire. I don't have the lift yet but am sure it's going to look great. I don't want to go to big so I think I picked the right size. 2" lift by the end of the week and I will be set.

$932 mounted and balanced with tpms rebuild, warranty certs and all. Oh and $70 rebate though BFG. I didn't think it was too bad. Especially since I will be reselling my old tires. Used tires are a big thing here in AZ I guess.

By the way to anyone wondering. I took off front/back wheel well mud flaps (cause I hate the way they look) and the 265/75/r16 worked great at stock height. I have had no rubbing.

So guys new update of the Tacoma. While waiting for the lift I decided I was bored I put a winch on. I used the harbor freight universal winch mount bolted it to the impact bar with nine bolts and then welded support brackets from the mount to the frame. It turned out pretty darn good and only cost me $317 including the harbor freight 9000 lb winch. Take a look. What do you think?

Wheelers Progressive AAL, Firestone RideRite airbags.
Well I just got the Firestone Ride Ride and cradles... Going to remove my overload spring, install the wheelers AAL, and then the airbags for the load capacity.
