    I'm throwing the BS Flag on this one. My dad was a WWII Veteran. He volunteered December 8, 1941 with one of his younger brothers and served until August 1946 in the Pacific Theater (China, Burma, India, Australia, New Zealand, Philippines, and on the boat to Japan when we dropped the first A-bomb on Nagasaki). He held no ill-feelings towards the Japanese people. If the possession of something Japanese is offensive to WWII Veterans they probably wouldn't own a Japanese Engineered Vehicle much less a coin commemorating said vehicle. Just my $.02.
