After series II, we will be taking a coin break for at least a year. During that time, the coin gnomes will be hard at work figuring out what the heck series III (the 2018 coin) would look like.

 

Can we start a thread solely for current designs, information regarding next issue ordering and general updates? Something with limited posting access to say Nexius and Capt’n. I mentioned this once before as I ended up unsubscribing this thread because I really don’t need to be bombarded with notifications as every single member adds their 2 cents. Each and every post regarding add me to the list, order placed etc doesn’t need to be read by everyone. Someone may miss out on important info regarding design or sales if like myself they unsubscribed.

I'm still amazed that the demand for coins is still this high. So cool.

So what’s the scoop? Seems like we are in limbo. We saw the Gen III coin design (which I personally HATED) and now there is confusion about a years wait or being minted soon. Did we agree on the design or is it still in discussion?

Not to beat a dead horse but I REALLY would like my suggestion of a new thread to come to fruition for design and current info that is locked except for posts by nexius and captn. Every so often I think crap I haven’t checked the coin thread in a while hope I didn’t miss out on something important.

 

I am not making a new thread, but I'm sure @Nexusix will once he gets closer to Gen-III coin time (whenever that is).

And you haven't missed out. I'm sure there will be all kinds of coin news once the next coin starts percolating.

 

Well at least we have our CHADSPRIDE support back. I was thinking he was MIA. Does he have a job or does he live in his parents basement? How does he like threads so quickly when playing Xbox or PS all day? One minute or less to like a thread. Thats how legends are made. Why don’t we have a chadspride coin yet?

Update: Sorry for the long wait. I've been super busy with work. I havent started on series III yet because it seemed like some people wasnt into the design. Maybe we can host another design contest and the winner will get free coins or something hehe. @CaptAmerica

 

Sounds great!!!

As has already been mentioned by some of us we are limited to crayons in terms of artistic skill. Can we describe our ideas in PM with maybe some pictures? If you have saved ideas for later dates can we list those so we don’t go in directions that have already been accepted but for the future?

I myself did not care for the Pontiac look a like Toyota emblem. Just because it existed in the past doesn’t mean we need to honour it in a coin.

I hope that we can have the 3 gens front ends memorialized in a coin. Stacked from 1st to 3rd.
I think we agreed on 3 separate coins for each gen for FUTURE.
OR a coin with ALL of the different Tacoma era Toyota logos ONLY not everything from the past.

I think the GOLD coin needs to be special. A really good design that everyone will love.
