Can we start over? We have more than one post asking for voting. I like the centered one grille only no headlights. I think that is 2.

Shouldn’t the offset grilles at least be centered to each other? The emblems are all over the place and it makes the 2nd gen look much wider than the other 2. I thought each gen gets wider and bigger than the previous gens. The grille patterns suggest otherwise.

I just noticed one thing. It is NOW 2018 not 2017 when we first started designing series 3. We have a ring celebrating the 80 year anniversary yet it is now the 81st anniversary. Should the coin reflect the year it is “minted”?

 

Pretty sure we have all done this twice before. This is how we did the other two, everyone chimes in and the winner is picked. Don't see any reason to change the way we do things now.

 

We had issues with the original series 3 design. I know I hated it and it was decided to try some new ideas and we are here now. While I hope my flavor of this design wins the idea in general is much more to my liking than the original idea. The first two series were so well accepted there was not much need for more than tweaking. Series 3 was not as well accepted which is why the redesign.

Some will buy anything. But as we roll out more and more coins the design becomes more important especially for those who don’t have the whole collection. While I am excited for this new coin I am really pumped for when we do gen specific coins as has been suggested in previous coin design discussions. Once again some will collect to keep the collection whole and some will buy due to their affiliation due to ownership of that gen.

 

I hear ya, I'm just being cranky today. Make the logo bigger! Add more cats! Why is there white space!? Often times more voices just get in the way of progress. These things sell themselves, you could have a poop emoji with a Hitler mustache boning an eagle and people would still buy them like mad.

 

Can we get a visual confirmation on a tacoworld 2018 coin?

 

I agree with the centered grills, but I like the dating on #3 of the Gens.
Couldn't it be on the outer circle instead of 80 year X 3 to have the gen years??
Minted wouldn't hurt.
Edit, Just make one of the series vertical say 2018.

 

I like the idea of the outer ring with gen dates. Do this except like 5 year anniversaries or something.

 

When are you guys going to start taking orders?

 

This is TW, not sure anyone around these parts will follow any orders.

I collected all the votes in my living room tonight and #2 won by a landslide. The other 2 didnt get a single vote. We can now move on to production and I will step up and be the first to order with 5 coins. Thanks to the one person who voted and look forward to other designs in the future.
