    Anyone know this squeaky sound? I went in the woods behind my neighborhood the other day and got some brush stuck in my axle. Got it out. Noticed a clanging sound coming from drivers side but no other brush underneath I could see. Decided to take my wheels off and check. Took off front driver last night and noticed my rock ring was loose. Tightened them all up and clanging is gone. But now there's a squeak. Did I tighten my wheel to tight? This is worse than the clang. Have a listen.

    That sounds like nothing. Haha I can't even hear it. If the rock ring made the noise go away by tightening it the first time, take it off and narrow the problem down to rock ring or no rock ring

    it is obviously more audible in person, but you guys don't hear the squeak? the rock ring was clanging. this is a squeak. drives me bonkers. don't want to sound like i'm driving a hoopty.

    rear leaf springs? mine squeak pretty bad... try and pressure wash them and spray them with WD-40 (between the leafs) and see if problem goes away.

    Yeah I know what you mean. That's why I took mine off. Hell they don't do shit anyway. I actually had a sound coming from my wheel that sounded like a wheel bearing goin out a month ago or so and I got under the truck to see if I could find something and some of my wheel weights had shifted/started coming off and the rotor was rubbing one making an almost consistent scratching noise. I just ripped them off. Problem fixed. Haha
