The dorms honestly aren't great as far as niceness goes unless you opt to drop the extra cash for either new hall north or south. I'm in maddux, which is one of the engineering dorms, and I love it here. All the guys in my dorm are friendly and we all hang out and play halo together.

Admission, just make sure your stuff is in on time. Other than that everything is pretty easy, and you can just call the school if you need any help.

Thanks man, I don't know what I'm gonna do as far as dorms. I think I saw a picture of one a while back and it was big enough for a cot and a desk haha, depending on how small they are I might pay the difference to upgrade rooms out of my pocket if it's not all gone into my truck:p.

I might do the early admissions if I can schedule my last ACT and get back the results in time.

Also do you know of any good off road trails up there or camping spots? My cousins business partner used to have a place we could camp at in cookville but that turned business turned into a law suit so I won't be goin anywhere near that place haha

    Hey Zach,

If I end up running solo on Monday I will spend most of the day familiarization myself with the park and then push it a little more when I have support with me on Wednesday.

So if you want to check it out with me, Monday would work.

yeah, the rooms are pretty small. i definitely recommend a bedloft. you'll do that the summer before you come, but its definitely worth the $120 to actually have floor space. if i get a chance later, i'll take a pic of my dorm so you can get an idea of how much the bedloft helps.

oh, and definitely do early admission.

as for offroading, i've been looking around, but i don't know of anything as of now. i'm looking though and asking around, and hopefully at least by the time you get here i'll know somewhere.

I'm in Jamestown - 45 minutes from Crossville. I'll be at Rod Run in Gatlinburg the 14-16th so I'm down for a meet.

Cumberland County/Crossville is about 30 minutes from Cookeville/TN Tech if you just head east on I40.

30 minutes from crossville to cookeville where tech is so not far at all, me and my buddy will have our tacos at rod run on that Saturday!! You can see mine and his on my build thread, there are a few places to go here in crossville, one of which 35s are a must, or a four wheeler.

is there anything over near you that's somewhat stock friendly? i'd love to come wheel with you, but the only thing i've got going for me is the E-locker. hopefully i'll lift at christmas, but it'll take time to get it where i want it.

Yes there is a couple spots not rough really just old logging roads up the Mtn, we got
Hinch Mtn which is a good mix of trail and gravel road driving very friendly and big
Rock which is not very big to go wheeling just kinda ride up
And over look the interstate and party a little, black Mtn which is across the interstate from big rock is the one that requires 35s, I just ride four wheelers on black no way I'd take my dc up there to
    Narrow, that's why
    I wished I still had the 95

well guys. i think maybe around the time of the LBL i’ll hopefully be started my bed rack and roof rack. bed rack will be like BAMF’s. hunter423 asked him how much it is. it’s like $900 plus like $400 to ship.:eek: i’ll either do all the bending and welding my self. or see if my cousin in NY who owns a fab shop do it for me. and it will be cheaper.
