On another note, Would y'all suggest spray painting or powdercoating rims?

 

It depends, are you keeping them or planning on swapping out for another set later? Powdercoat looks good but is expensive. Rattle can paint looks cheaper (because it is), but it's easy to touch up on your own

 

hmm... Well I may eventually go with new rims but not for 5-6 years down the road.. How much would a powdercoat run me?

 

I'm not sure. When I was looking to get my bumper bar painted, it was going to be about 150

Any particular reason you got rid of yours? I think the stock one would fit my needs perfect, the way the cross bars swing out when youneed them and then back when you dont, to help cut down on the drag. Also therack could give a good mounting place for a LED bar, I think? I just want tofind one to check out to see if it really works as well as I think it will...

 

Unless you build a roof rack then you won't wanna mount a light bar off those stock rack bars. Well, I mean you might, but why not buy bar mounts that hang down over the front windshield?

 

Got rid of it because I wanted a 50" light bar across my windshield.... good luck making that happen with a roof rack. Two it whistles at high speed when open or closed. And three looks wise I think the truck looks much cleaner without it. Plus for the money they cost you can buy a much nicer more durable rack.

 

Where might one find said light bar mounts?
