Comcast just wants money. They will even try to get it illegally by lying, cheating, and swindling you. And if they know they are your only option for internet then they will stick you for every single thing they can pull out of the book.

 

I fucking hate and I mean fucking hate Comcast. They charged me all kinds of shit charges for equipment fees and what not when I canceled. Sent installers to my house to retrieve equipment I didn't own nor ever used. One call to their legal dept. And boom. Their installers even came into my house and cut holes in walls for their "wireless" security system they offered. And left them. That was a whole other ordeal.

I have u verse and will never switch as long as it's offered. Love the customer service. They will make a bundle for you. The free movie coupons I get on my bill are awesome. Only thing I don't like is if I do have an issue like yesterday my promotion was scheduled to end. I could not for the life of me get an English as their first language person on the line until I straight up asked for one. Then smooth as gravy.

Comcast when your promotion ends they say pay it or cancel it. Uverse builds another bundle just for you to keep you in a good price. They put me in the uverse max Internet and kept me on the u450 TV for 74.99 + tax for 2 years.


I also don't think uverse charged me any installation fees when I setup service with them 3 years ago.

 

Everyone i know HATES comcast. my brother was like you adam all ways getting random charges. he only had internet and the basic plain since he is not home all the time. his bill was never the same amount. he just called and cut everything off but the internet, he said they got all pissed off when he tried to do so.

edit: guess their is a reason they where voted worst company in the US for 2013. also not long ago someone(i don’t know who just read about it) tried to call and cancel his plain for same reasons the guy cussed him out and made threats to him and told him he can’t do it.

 

Just randomly came to the site this morning and saw everyone's hate for Comcast, so I thought I would add some more hate! lol... I can't stand Comcast! If I had any other option I would do it, but being in the IT field and working from home some, I have to have fast internet.

I live about 1500 feet off of the road. Comcast is only responsible for the first 400 feet, at least that is what I was told and confirmed it with several different people. So, I had to pay $2500 to just get the comcast wire to my house! I was so pissed... I argued and argued, but had no option but to pay. I have never paid any type of hookup fee and I have had them at 4 different houses. This was the first time I had ever paid them anything other than my monthly bill.

If they are giving you trouble, just say that's fine, don't worry about it. I will go with Directv and AT&T or tds, etc... They will start to change their tune. Every year or so, when my contract runs out and my bill starts to go up, I call in and tell them I am cancelling my service and moving to another provider and they always ask if there is anything they can do and I tell them to get the price back down where it was and they always do it. You just have to play hard ball with them...

 

Also, to anyone that cares... I noticed on tuner's bill that they went up on their modem fees again! It used to be $5 a month and it has slowly made it's way to $9 and I am sure it won't be long until it's $10. You can get a modem like this one below on Amazon for $69 and not have to pay that monthly fee... Of course it takes 7 months for it to pay for itself, but you never have to pay for it again.

It's plug and play... You literally just unplug theirs and plug yours in, no configuration or anything. Wasn't as big of a deal when it was $5 a month, but at $9, I would say it's definitely worth it.

 

Yeah I got Comcast internet and it's def fast as shit but they are a crap company. When I moved, they have a free moving thing and dude came out to "turn it on" (cause the house already had their connection) and told me I had to pay $60 before he started working and then they would send me a bill for the rest. I told him not to worry about it and I'll just use Dish Network and within 5 mins he had talked to his manager and hooked up the connection free of charge. They suck. I moving into my new house within the next few months and will more then likely just cancel them and try out Dish internet. I love Dish tv and their customer service has been great for the past 4 years (coming from Direct TV whose sucked dick at the time) so I'm gonna tell Comcast to fuck themselves and try out Dish

lol, nice! Doing good... Just been busy! Had another little girl two weeks ago, so my sleep sucks right now! That's the hardest part by far. But that makes 2 and we are out. Going to go get cut soon!

Side note, anyone know of a spring maker that has a 15 inch 700# spring? Right now, I have the 14", 700# king springs, but they have finally settled and I don't want to crank the icon's any further than they already are... I may not have a choice though, because I haven't found anything. I guess with this heavy ass bumper, winch, rock sliders, and skid plates, I have pretty much maxed out what the spring can handle.

Also, I am sure it's probably already been all over the forums, but I saw this a couple of days ago and thought you might like! lol

I hate babies. Just sayin ....... Haha but that's awesome man. Sucks right now but will be great sooner then later. Got a pic of her? And even if you find a 15" spring, you can't run it on your coilover. You will get coil bind very easy. 14" springs should only be used with minimal preload set on them because of coil bind issuses otherwise. If you want more height then you just need new springs or you're lifting your truck too much with just coilovers. King uses Eibach springs which are linear. You could try icon springs which are progressive

 

Yeah I've seen that truck numerous times. They wanted like 800k for it at one point. Haha

 

It's a shame that they spent all that time on the exterior and got super lazy on the interior.

 

Icon actually told me to use these springs... The stock spring is a 13", 650# spring and with all my added weight, they said to go with the king 14", 700#. I don't have the preload set high. They are within the limits of what Icon suggested. My problem at the end of the day is it's starting to sag more. In certain situations when flexing, I have noticed the tires rubbing, so I just want to get the height back up to eliminate that.

Any of you guys have OME kits on your Taco? Im getting really bad vibrations in the front wheels and the steering wheel between 65-75 as well as very loose / awkward rebounds on the shocks, sometimes even sounds like metal "popping" almost.
Things Ive done so far:
Had the tires rotated not to long ago and balanced (one wheel was .4 of a weight out, shouldnt cause that much vibration). Had the suspension checked for anything possibly loose, nothing is loose. Running out of things to check. Anyone got any ideas?

If it the vibration had anything to do with your ome setup it would be constant. You have rolling/moving vibration. The fact that it only occurs from what you said at or around 65-75 it is most likely tires. If it was out of balance before it could be worse now. Or could be something like wheel bearing. Raise each front tire off the ground and grab the tire at 12 and 6 and rock it back and forth. If it moves then check wheel bearing, upper and lower ball joints. (Wheel bearing should be making a noise.) Then grab at 3 and 6 same thing. Except look at broken steering or worn steering components.) I just went through this cap at the beginning of the year. Between bad tires and bad steering components I finally got mine somewhat figured out.

^this. also, your tires could be out of round even though they are balanced. given that I have BFG rugged fails, I'm convinced that mine are out of round. since I work in a shop, I'm able to put them on the balancer when ever I want. but even though the machine says they are balanced, 3 miles down the road I can still feel it.
