Hi, wondered how Tacoma-friendly Turkey Bay is these days? I was there quite a while ago in a friend's jeep, and it seemed like all I saw was Razors and dirt bikes. I remember thinking my double-cab long bed might be difficult to maneuver through some of those roads. Anybody go there often?

 

We have a meet there every year, and it's pretty friendly to tacoma. I drive a double cab long bed as well and have found that the blue trails are the tight trails that will really give you trouble. That being said the primary road is still a fun drive

 

I was just there a couple weeks ago in my double cab short bed. A lot of places were really tight but I made it through. I had to 3 point turn more often than the Jeeps I was with. He's right, the easy trail is still fun, just not technical.

 

There's one trail that's not a blue trail that I wouldn't recommend a taco goin down. Me and Levi did it last time we were there and it sucked dick

 

True haha if it was cleaned up though it wouldn't have been so bad

 

Think I'd be okay out there in stock configuration? I'm planning a full ome lift for next spring but am eager to get on out there...might have to start the lift and tires a little sooner.
By the way how is the rock garden area?

 

I'm pretty sure there's been plenty of people with stock set ups and have been fine, at least on the large loop.

 

You'll be fine on the main loop, but if you're on street tires and not atleast some form of all-terrain or MT then it'll be pushing it. Height isn't going to be your limiting factor, it'll be tires.

 

Rock garden is fun, I wouldn't do it without 35s and armor/skids
As far as stock you will be able to do a lot of the trails

 

Yeah in this park, tires are your friend. If it's even close to being wet out, street tires won't cut it. I think someone could do a section of the rock garden on stock height with good tires, lots of armor and good spotting. I'm down to do it. I'll spot .....

 

No rock garden for me. I bent my skid last time. Had to hammer it back

Well, I guess with it raining today I wont be able to finish painting my wheels after work. Black metallic looks good on its own. Can't wait to see them with accents of the Barcelona Red Metallic and a few coats of clear.

 

Yeah def don't do that. Especially with where your house is at, I bet it gets humid as balls there. I know it does at my house with the woods back there
