I cut my rear thin sheet metal fenders. Once again ...... what sharp edges?

 

The more I sand it the more it's causing the paint to chip so what do you suggest

 

Dremel tool with a sander on the end of it and don't stay on one spot to long

 

I did that and it cut throug the sanding wheel. I didn't figure stone would work too well

I did mine with my dremel tool

 

Do you have a grinder? Use a sanding wheel. That's what they are made for. I used a 1200 grit I think. Stop with that dremel crap. A stone is not made to smooth sand anything

 

Just an update I did not get the fender flares finished tonight. They will be done tomorrow night once the epoxy has had time to set up on the clip holders. I had broken 2 1 on each front flare but epoxy'd them all tonight since that will be the only thing holding the flares on. Going to Tomorrow after work to get the clips. Talked them into 1.00 a piece need 20 It was much better than the 3.50 they wanted a piece.

 

It's done! I'm finally lifted! big thanks to gid for helping me with the rear.

 

I hope he used plenty of lube...

Thanks guys. Fronts are 5100's on stock coils at 2.5. Rears are OME N182's with wheeler's HD progressive AAL with overload leaf left in. I would say the ride is firm, not stiff... but not bad at all.

 

i liked the ride. We went for a test ride when we got done and mike said "Does it seem stiff?" I said, "Dude. Have you rode in my truck? This feels really good to me." haha it seems to ride nice. Got a few tips for anyone who does the same rear setup

 

You get about 2 inches in the rear (giggity)?

lately my truck thinks it’s a great idea to give me a little shock when i go to shut the door after getting out. well sometimes it’s not just a little shock. it hates me so much it makes my hand or a few times has made my arm tingle...LMFAO have not really though anything about it till today. so going to check ground at the battery and the body.
