    Do it right and just pull the 6" and sell it, switch to some c/o's and a leaf pack then trim and keep the 35's

    You uh have a drop bracket right? why are you worried about loosing ground clearance? You will probably gain some by losing that drop bracket

    Because I'd have to fabricate a new crossmember. I'd be running 33's with a drop bracket and 4" lift or 35's with a 6" lift.

    just run an RCD or BDS 4.5" and chop for 35's. you'll get more ground clearance than you have now

    How will I get more ground clearance with less lift? I'll have a lower COG, but I won't have more ground clearance. The reason for me wanting to go back to 33's is because it's my daily and I rather have more power and gas mileage.

    just google 4.5" RCD or BDS lifts on Tacoma, and look at the construction of the brackets.... then you'll see what im talking about.

    That process is the biggest PITA. If I did it again, I'd do a the 5100/885 lift with leaf pack, 33's, and supercharger. Truck ain't fully paid off either. Close but still another year on it.
    I see how they have a bridge design. But I don't think that I could justify spending $2100 on ANOTHER DB lift.

    any lift with 35's will have the same ground clearance due to the axle and LCA's. But you wouldn't have to fab a new crossmember, you just have to cut out a small piece of it for front driveshaft clearance right?

    Edit: The drop bracket replaces the crossmember, doesn't it? fuck me idk. But if that's the case then just find someone who is installing a DB lift and get their factory crossmember or ask offroad shops around you.

    Could I find a crossmember? Yeah, probably. But it would take a lot of work to install it and I'm believe I would have to do something with the differential brackets?

    Aww fuck. Yea, you'd have to reweld a piece in there, take the DB out, and if the original diff brackets weren't cut off, then put the diff back where it belongs. otherwise you'd have to fab new diff brackets as well.

    Exactly. Could it be done? Sure. But I really don't want to dish out the money for that. Then I'd have to buy a new lift and tires.

    You wouldn't have to buy new tires, Gid Levi and Adam are at 3" on 35's. Plus you'd have a procomp DB lift that you could sell! If you found someone local then tell them that you'll sell it to them for some price plus they pay to have their old crossmember welded into your truck and a shop to do the work. Not too hard ;) Just throwing ideas out there

    Not a bad idea. The goal is just to be back on 33's without looking goofy because I drive a lot and 12-14mpg is not fun. I'd run 3" and 35's if I was wheeling it, but for everyday use, there's really no point. I don't know what to do...all of it's going to cost money and I rather have a supercharger :(

    Spend the money to do this. Don't be a stupid kid and think with your dick. Be a grown up and think with your brain. You said you want smaller tires and a smaller lift to get better mpgs and then you say "Id rather have a supercharger" which will completely contradict wanting to get better mpg. If your first statement is true then that's where you need to spend your money.

    Or buy a new truck .......... :D

    Well they moved the closing date on the house back a week due to the shower tile being delayed. We ordered it from Canada and they've had a few storms up there lately. Whatever. But anyway it will be here Monday so we're looking at closing next Wed or Thursday.

    For a few small updates, here's the outside almost done (it's done now), the master bath floor tile and the stair railing we designed that got put in today ......

    Yeah dude. I think it's gonna look real good. The hardwood is down. I'm anxious to see the fireplace and the master bath done. Should get pretty epic
