Hey guys... A while back I put a longer spring shock in the front of my truck (Rancho Quick lift). It raised the truck about 2" just as I wanted it to do. I didn't pay any attention to it before, but I believe the new shock changed the placement of the upper control arm. With stock wheels on, nothing over 31x10.50" would fit on the truck because the upper part of the tire will hit the control arm. I just ordered new tires (31x10.5" ATs), and I'm assuming they'll go on just fine (close fit, but not touching), but I'm not 100%. Sooo... what can I do to fix the problem if they won't go on? Obviously wheels with different offset will do it, or a spacer would do it (which probably wont happen). Would extended connecting rods do it? Would different control arms fix it? Should I forget about all of the suspension stuff and look for new wheels?

The wheels in my picture are not the factory wheels the tires will be on.

    Thanks in advance!

Wheel backspacing is the most important factor. It would be less headache to adress that insteadbof looking into control arms and spindles

I think spacers are your answer then or off set wheels.

Aight so I'm a little confused so clear this up ....... So you put a new strut in? A strut is a non adjustable coil and shock, like the stock strut. Is that all you changed?

Magnolia tree next to my driveway claimed a trophy as I slid past (or through) tonight.

broke about 1/8 inch down inside the mounting piece. Only the mount itself is sticking up.
I didn't have the radio on.
    Maybe it'll still work.
If reception is still ok, maybe I'll just smooth over the recessed area with some epoxy or something.

I'll have to see if any removal tools are small enough to fit down in. I know the engineering lab at work has some small tools I can try out on my lunch break monday.

    MF ing ice!
Ice dam caused rain to back up in a spot on roof and now spot on ceiling is soaked. Too slick to get on roof. I tried at midnight, but whole roof is iced and shovel couldn't reach the dam to break it up.
Hopefully the bin I stuck under the drip in the attic won't fill and spill over while I sleep.

So all you did was change out the strut and it altered the position of you uca to where it's now rubbing the stock rim? There is no fix for that besides higher offset wheels, spacers, or different ucas
