    I started to make a thread about lead times with various vendors on tw but I decided not to. I will just rant in here I guess. I have placed orders with three vendors on this forum, I won't name names simply because one of the vendors still owes me product. The first company I ordered rock sliders from on a Black Friday sale. Lead time came and went so I kept contact with the vendor. He kept promising the product and I decided to cancel my order after waiting 19 weeks and the vendor telling me that he wouldn't be able to carry out my full order as I wanted kick ups on my sliders and in that 19 week period he couldn't find the time to cut those pieces and weld them on. Second company I ordered a bumper I was notified of a 8-10 week lead time. The lead time will be up the end of this week and after contacting the vendor the powder coater is running behind so they won't be shipping the bumper until two weeks later. The third company I ordered stuff from promised an 8 week lead time on a set of rock sliders. This company had my order completed and shipped in 6 weeks even with the skid plate I added to my order 2 days before shipping. Sorry for the long read just butthurt, these are well known vendors here and still don't seem to be able to follow through on promises. I realize that things come up and deadlines have to be stretched for various reasons. I realize I'm not the only impatient asshole that ordered your product.

    Please ..... Share the vendors ..... I know various people in this thread that have shared publicly their affection for various vendors and the way their business is run. I for one have had great luck/success with a few vendors on here that others have had stories like yours. These are things that should be known on both fronts, if not in a separate thread then at least in this small thread no one pays attention to ....

    I had really good luck out of sos offroad. He had my order completed and shipped in less than the estimated lead time. All the welds and everything look really quality. I hit them with some 400 sandpaper and wax and grease remover and sprayed them. I know a few people in this thread have had bad experiences with him but I don't have a bad thing to say about him or his products. I had a bad experience with a metal fabrication shop in the Bay Area. The communication was fine but he said he didn't have time to complete my order as ordered. He offered to send it without the kickup but that was one of the reasons I ordered from him. The other company that I am still waiting on a bumper from and still refuse to share the name has great communication and great customer service. When I email them I get an email back really quick but they went to Moab last week and now they just happen to be running behind on orders.

    No it's not all pro.

    I'm not really pissed about it really just ready to get my truck together. I ordered sliders, wheels, tires, lift, skid plate and now I'm redoing my retrofit all at once. Just sucks that as a consumer we can spend all this money but can't accurately plan on these products.
