Why did you have Kurts shower tank in your engine bay ? Run out of water?

 

So for those that didn't go, my truck had quite the weekend. Levi passed all his bad juju down to me and doubled it. So Friday morning, I got stuck in a mud hole and flooded the cab with water which led to my truck over heating and my starter going out which led to having to run the heat all weekend in 100% humidity weather and roll starting the truck multiple times and driving through the lake in an attempt to clean out some of the clay which led to water in both my headlights and somehow led to my rear wheel cylinder exploding and us nigg** rigging the brake system which included having no rear brakes and the fronts working like shit. In conclusion, the powers that be tried to kill my truck and ruin all my fun and in the end it just led to more fun and my truck making it home by itself like a champ. Haha

 

This was my perspective from an entertaining spot where right as I got out of it, God decided to unleash a monsoon upon us and at 3 pm it felt like we were driving through the rain forest at midnight

 

Not to mention we had to blast the heat in this monsoon so me and Gid were fuckin dying

 

Haha yeah that sucked bad. Best part was taking turns opening and fanning the doors to try and get some air in the truck. I felt like I was trying to cut weight before weigh-ins at a fight. Just brutal

 

Open diff probs....

 

Been there before. No amount of shop-vacuuming will get it out. Only option was to remove everything from the interior and wipe it down, hang the carpet over a fence and hose it off, let dry and reinstall. I stay away from big swampy mud holes now.

I told him rip it all out and put all rubber in.

 

There's always that one guy with 4 wheel open diffs that slows down the rest of the group... lol

That might be an option. Luckily I was able to get mine back to normal just hosing it down and wiping down the sheet metal underneath. Those holes in the door are the exact same place the shit got into my truck. Now I just know better. Lol





I did this about a month after the fact, and boy did it reek. Not only that but I had to have the timing belt, water pump, a ton of belts and pulleys replaced as well. Wasn't a cheap fix. I JUST had the rear main seal replaced with a new clutch about 20k miles ago from that aftermath. I think it's back to normal now though.
