    You call that bad luck? You are WAY more optimistic then I or you have an anemic sense of their level of candor. I'd be cautious of a shop with a pro level racing pedigree. They spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on their professions and are likely paid that much to be good at what they do. You wanted a $100 part installed. Whats their incentive to care? Maybe coax you into spending a few more hundred and make them feel better about "wasting their time". Now I have no clue who this shop is and can not say anything bad about them with conviction but I can speculate, based on the experience you had, that the little guy isn't high on their list.

    It's no different then all the big companies in the off road world. Does King want you to buy their shocks? Well fuck yeah they do. But do they want you to call their shop and sell you a pair? Fuck no. They have more important shit to do then worry about $1500 when DSM alone is buying $500,000 worth of shocks in 1 order.

    Well that sucks. I'm going to see what they can do for some sliders since they are so close. He's supposed to get me some pics and a price. I would just order some, but I hate to pay $100ish for shipping if I can get what I want within driving distance.

    I'm not great with wiring but all I'm trying to do is put a switch in my cab to turn on my bed lights and a switch in the bed to turn on the bed lights.

    From this response I think you took what I said as a bad thing towards you? If so then you really misconstrued who that was negatively directed towards. Haha I ran a spacer lift for 2 years and offroaded my truck 5 times more often then I do now and I didn't need a race shop to recommend it to me. I picked it out myself. Haha I have pics of it in my gallery. I wasnt embarrassed then and I ain't embarrassed now.

    Very simple. Take 2 wires to each switch. One wire will come from the fuse block, the other wire will go to the light. That's it. That will allow you to turn on the lights independently with either switch. If one switch is on then the other switch will do nothing.

    Or you can get two 3 way switches and wire them together to the lights and it would operate like your living room light switches

    that is what I was thinking. Thanks! Should only have to run one wire into the cab for the bed lights cause the other switch is already in the bed. can I just tap into the positive wire on the light side of the first switch?

    Not the light side, the fuse block side. If you tap off the light side then the bed switch won't operate without turning the cab switch on, which really wouldn't make any sense. Lol

    Yeah man that was not a shot at you at all. And I used to drive my truck anywhere without a care in the world. I bought it brand new in 08, put 33 km1s on and the spacer lift with an aal in the back with completely stock suspension besides that including shocks. I drove the truck just like that for 2 years. I carried no tools, no spare, no air compressor, no tire plugs, no extra fluids, no recovery gear ........ Nothing that would help get me un fucked. I drove down railroad tracks, through rivers and ponds, sand beds, any mud hole I could point my truck at, any rock pile, etc ....... without a care in the world because I had a Toyota. My other truck is a 94 single cab with the 22re and I did the same with that thing and it never failed me so I got the new truck with the exact same thought process and time and time again proved my thoughts right. It wasn't until I spent $4k on suspension, built to take 20x the abuse of the stock stuff, that I started caring. Haha my biggest problem now is I literally can't do 20x the stuff with the new suspension that I could with the stock. Damn ...... Maybe I wasted my money ........

    yea. I meant run another positive wire from the fuse box to the light side of the first switch. And just make a sorta T off the wire coming out of the lights

    My passenger front door speaker won't work but it isn't blown. Fuck. Is the tweeter inline to the door speaker meaning that if it went then the door speaker wouldn't work? I've looked through my radio wiring harness a trillion times and everything is connected well and the exact same way it has been since I installed it over a year ago.

    Oh don't get me wrong, I didn't spend 1k on rear shocks just cause their shiney. Haha
    Yeah when you really think about the difference in what a stock truck can do vs what money you put into yours now and what it can do, it's kinda depressing. Haha kinda impressive that a stock Tacoma is so good in that form though

    Yeah you are just confusing me now. Dave made a good drawing. There's only 2 ways to do it. Either take 2 separate wires from the fuse block to the switches (one to each switch) and there's your hot or jump the wires from one switch to the other. I would draw but I don't care enough. It's very simple.
