Took the jeep up to the sandmines in Caryville yesterday and had a great time. Ive always liked this trail amd its getting better everyday (that it rains). The tacoma had to stay at home for this one so fair warning, the following pics are jeep only.

WE had a great time...some other people there not so much. The first "organized" trail ride blew monkey nuts. It was supposed to go to an old radar tower from WWII...but we never made it there. 23 vehicles in our group ranging from stock vehicles with inexperienced drivers to guys with plenty of experience and proper vehicles. Jeremy and I were in the back of the group, and everytime we got somewhere to stop and regroup, they were already leaving as we pulled up because we were so spread out. Lucky for us, we got plenty of time to sit still though when some cowboy in an FJ decided the answer to everything was more throttle. There was a perpendicular ravine across the trail, maybe a foot to foot and a half wide, and he decided the best way to go across it was to Dukes of Hazzard it. Front tire made it across, rear tire blew. He was towards the front of a line of 23 vehicles on a single track on the side of a mountain. Took them an hour to put his spare on and get us moving again. About 45 minutes later, his front tire blew out either from damage at the original incident, or something new. This time it took an hour and a half to change the tire because someone else had to bring him a spare. Not sure how that all got worked out. We were finally able to bypass him, and when I went by he was spinning tires and accomplishing a lot of not shit. I guess someone asked him if he had it in 4 low, or if he had A-TRAC, or if his diff was locked...his answer was "huh?" It took over 8 hours to do two gravel roads and two trails. Would have taken 3-4 hours TOPS with a smaller group and no dumbass popping tires for no good reason. Day two we skipped the organized ride and did our own thing, which was WAY better. We covered way more ground, and had a much more enjoyable time. They've got to limit the number of people on rides and gauge their experience better if they're going to do that kind of stuff.

so I washed the truck...and it definitely got scratched up. Im thinking most can be waxed/buffed out but I got a few that will remain beauty marks on the truck, and I got white fiberglass peakin through the grey after I brushed the tree out of the way with the passenger fender haha

This is why at our meets we always go on a ride with everyone as to take the less capable vehicles on some trails ride so they can enjoy what they got. Then at some point, usually when I get tired of fuckin off, we tell everyone we are about to go do some hard stuff and to either go ride some different trails or park at camp and hop in with us. We usually have somewhere between 7 and 12 trucks which narrows down to 5 on the harder stuff.

Not that i know of. I think technically you need a hunting or some kind of wildlife permit to be on the land, but I've never had one. The trail starts at exit 134 off I-75 N and comes out an exit or two down.

Yeah I have quite a few too, but it looks like...most...will buff out. I also bashed the shit out of my passenger rock rail, there's about a 4" section that the paint is rubbed off on the front radius. I'll have to wire wheel it and touch it up. The drivers side front bumper had an issue too, that little bullshit flap thing in front of the tire was bent backwards so I had a weird rubbing sound every time I turned right. I bent it back, but they're going to get removed pretty soon anyways. No body damage though, so I'm calling it all a big win. Sliders saved my ass.

This is exactly how it should be done. Hopefully in the future they will limit the number of people on rides and have more options. That's seriously the only negative I have to say about the weekend.

I want the spacing between the tire and fender like this. I guess it's a smaller tire maybe a little wider. It just looks like plenty of clearance also. Maybe 4x2 to get way with it.

Aight first off, man that truck is ugly.

And that's a 2wd with a spindle lift. That's just a guess but looks like a lot of lift and it's not a db kit. His fenders aren't cut either so he's just lifted a lot. Your truck can have that much clearance, if you cut the fenders

If you guys had to pick between something like Borla or Magnaflow, what would you choose and why. I'm looking for factual info. I like how they both sound but dont really know if one provides more than the other. I like how both sound so that doesnt really matter. If you have other suggestions, im open. I cant find hardly any videos on youtube for these two companies. I REALLY like how borla sounds but all I see it on is cars. I saw a jeep video for a catback system borla makes for jeep but cant find it in tacoma.
