I normally enjoy it as well but seems like every time I go to work on it I find something else I need repair haha

 

Did you order a swingout kit for the pin and mounting plate with studs on it or are you 1-offing all of that too?

 

My set of skids came in the other day. Time to get them painted and installed

That is work. I didn't "enjoy" working on my truck either before I got a car. The whole "whatever I start I gotta finish in 3 hours cause I gotta drive to work in the morning" thing sucks. A second DD vehicle may be the smartest overall mod I've made. Haha

 

Same here, after windrock last year and my truck sitting in the garage for over a month waiting on parts sucked because I had to bum vehicles or rides everywhere

 

Spray paint them. If you actually use them then all the paint will get scratched off anyways, might as well paint them cheap and be able to touch them up yourself.

 

So one of my jackass roommates just broke my tailgate handle off. Took my keys, unlocked my topper, proceeded to break the handle off and not tell me then still continue to use my tools.

Any suggestions to get it unlocked or fix it?

 

Beat his fuckin ass and tell him he either pays to fix it or you break his shit too.

As for fixing it, you'll have to find a way inside of it to remove the assembly. I'm sure you can order a new handle assembly for both. Just break the topper handle the rest of the way off and then you should be able to use a screwdriver or something to flip the mechanism

 

Ill work on something then the good idea fairy comes along and puts more on the plate

 

That'll make for good household chemisrty lol. Topper isn't broken, only tailgate handle.

 

The guys I live with know that if my truck gets messed with then its no-holds bar and its game over. lmao.

But you should be able to get into the tailgate to put a new handle in it pretty easily.

 

Except break much more then his handle, like both his knee caps and hands then whisper in his ear "Good luck next time." Gonna be hard to do that again without being able to stand up or grab anything.

 

All one-off, except for the TG rear bumper.
