The only pic I have right now.. I'm really diggin the stance. The tires don't look too small either which was one of my concerns. I will eventually get some 255/85/16 ST Maxx's I think. But first I have to do a carrier bearing drop and get new alignment cams because we (Mike) discovered that they are almost seized.

I was really excited until I was checking out the new suspension while pumping gas and saw this. The rubber appears to be sliding out of place.. Anyone have an explanation????

Is the rubber upside down? Seems to be tapered, possibly to seat in the spring cap. Unfamiliar with this setup, just my two cents. Good luck.

it almost looks like the rubber is upside down OR the spring is upside down (on mine, the tapered end of the spring is on the bottom and the larger, flat end is up top, but mine are bilstien). If the bottom of the spring looks flush with whatever its sitting on, I would say the top, rubber grommet is the wrong way. Good call Everett

Here's the picture right after install. The coil appears to be on properly and it looks like the grommet is sitting flush in there..upload_2015-10-11_13-38-5.jpg

Do you have a super close up of the base part of the shock?

EDIT: where the base of the spring sits on the round black metal cup?

It looks like the coil is forcing its way under the grommet..

Yea, I would say (without physically being there and seeing for myself) that the top rubber cushion is upside down. Min stayed nice and flat, and its been on the truck for 3+ years. I dont know what, if any, long term ramifications of this but I would personally want it corrected for longevity of the rubber piece.

There, that should do it. *Bonus points* if anyone can tell me what vehicle my crash bar armor came from.

Thanks for your help. That's really frustrating because I paid headstrong to avoid the headache of assembly. I hope they stand behind their work and reimburse me for having to fix it.

Well I finally got around to building my bar today. Here are the results. The top is a piece of live edge poplar that's sawmill cut, then I trimmed it down to size and finished it with some BLO. It has a 2x frame with 2 full length shelves and is faced in corrugated galvanized sheet metal. I used poplar trim boards to trim it out, except for the top piece. Under the bar top is a piece of trim salvaged from the barn I got the wood on the wall from. The barn was built in the 1940s from wood used in a train depot that was built in the 1870s. I'm guessing this was a large piece of chair rail that was in the rail depot. Enough words.
