    Gid and i have had this conversation before also. I have been running without a diff drop and haven't had any problems. But also, my truck is newer and has only been lifted for 10 months.

    Oh you just reminded me of something also that I forgot to write. Being that the good thing I have to say about the diff drop is moving the axle back down to help with boot wear, if this is the only reason to get it (which that's the exact reason to get it) then there are a few alternatives with 1 costing as much as zero dollars by simply loosening the clip that holds the inner boot side on the shaft and sliding the boot down just enough to where to fins don't rub at ride height or replacing the boots all together with a kit such as All-Pro, Total Choas, SDHQ, Poly Performance, Kartek etc .... sells for somewhere around $40-$60

    Be prepared for a stiff front end lol. I have the 886xs up front now. It was real stiff when I just had my bumper. Now that I have added a full set of skids it has loosened up.

    Yeah that's true. I have a steel hybrid right now, an IFS skid and will add a synthetic winch the same time I put on the coils. And no sway bar of course
