Yep. Upper and lower and both sides. And they are a bitch but they are well worth it. Especially if your truck has some miles on it. My front suspension has been clunkin around for forever and I know that's also been my alignment problems. It's about damn time I bought these.

Shimming the center bearing on the drive shaft didn't really help. Not sure if I want to drop the axle to try any shims on the leaf pack or just ignore the shudder.

It's an '06. Bought it 2 years ago with right at 160k on it, the old guy who owned it before me towed a little pop up camper cross country with it.

 

Gotcha. Yeah mine was purchased march of 2013 with 59k on it. So we're driving about the same amount. About to put 1500 more on next week for the drive home

He probably wouldn't believe it was his old truck. The salesman that I bought it from didn't believe me when I was up there last time getting service records.

She had less than 100mi. when I bought her. I need to leave the truck alone long enough to pile up some funds for a commuter car. 100mi/day adds up in a hurry.

 

This really makes a difference. I'm a perfect example. I bought my truck new in Feb of 08. I have 111k miles. I bought my frs new in Oct. of 13. It has 24k on it. If you do a lil math that's 135k total. When I was only driving my truck I was doing about 16 - 17k a year. If I apply that to the split mileage between the truck and car over the past two years then that puts the car at roughly 12k a year and the truck at roughly 4k a year. That's a 12 - 13 a year mile difference on my truck. If I stay at the same rate then by 2020 I'll have roughly 130k miles on it instead of 215k miles. So as you see, it def makes a big difference having a "commuter" car to drive.

 

Mine had 3 miles on it if I remember right lol. I didn't have a very long commute in AK the first 18 months I had it but I put way more on it when I moved home, was doing 188 miles a day to work and back. I finally had the money and bought an 02 civic for 2k and now drive the shit out of it I hate driving a little car but it gets 40mpg and is actually surprisingly comfortable

 

Yea I've been looking around for about a month. The truck is paid for. It's hard to think about adding a payment and insurance just to save gas and miles on the truck. I could pay cash and buy a cheap car, but who knows what that would lead to. Example- A couple years ago I got a FREE '01 Taurus with 130K miles when my grandfather died. I drove it for 25K. I had to replace tires, brakes, A/C compressor, coolant lines, radiator, alternator, and a fuel pump. So at that point I had a good chunk in my free car. Then the tranny took a shit and left me on the side of the interstate. I wasn't going to spend one more red cent on that POS so I got rid of it. I don't want to end up in that situation again. Question for anyone with an opinion- Generally speaking, what are the most reliable make/model of passenger cars you've experienced? I was thinking civics or corollas simply due to the number I see on the road every day.

Yeah, have been trying to get my promotion, which I got. And now my company announced 10,000 more layoffs. So I think the clock is ticking. My third crew just got laid off.

 

Civic. Just find one that is stock and hasn't been ragged the fuck out by some high school shit head.

And even in the odd chance that something does go wrong, parts are stupid cheap and the motor might as well be made out of Legos as easy as it is to work on.
