Spend the extra money and put synthetic in. Toyota uses all synthetic oils from the factory but a lot of folks choose to not continue that. The properties of synthetic oils are much more tolerable to excessive heat and time then non synthetic

 

What bushings are these? I guess that means I'm not using them. Haha

I use Amsoil. It's a pure synthetic meaning it's the best shit out there. Motul is also fantastic oil and is widely used in racing applications. For someone who wants great oil they can buy at the store and relatively cheap, Mobil 1 is where its at, especially for n/a cars. I've actually read this whole article before. I can't remember all of it but if you care to educate yourself on oils then here's where you start .......

That might be the case for engine oil but from what I've read a lot of people have had problems with synthetic oil (especially mobile 1) in their rear diffs. Many people are saying that I should just use dino oil with the lsd additive.

 

If you have the LSD. I used Valvoline regular nonsynth gear oil in my old sport's LSD. No additive needed. No dif problems for the 170,000 miles i owned it.

 

Bumper showed up at the house this morning moments before we left for our holiday weekend with family in West Ky. I threw it in the back of the truck for early Thursday morning installation! As you could guess, Amy is super stoked right now lol.

 

I'm looking to put in a remote start in my truck and was wondering if anyone had experience with a place in Nashville called street sounds? They have given me a reasonable quote but I don't know much about them. I tried a place called car tronics but they wouldn't do it since it was a 2016 (at the time they said there wasn't a system compatible unless you used the OEM product). Street sounds said it isn't a problem?

Ok I need to break up your first sentence. That is the case for all oils, Amsoil is the best of the best, doesn't matter if its engine or drivetrain. Now as far as picking out the right oil for your application, Idk. I have no clue if people have problems with their lsd diffs cause I've never had one but I do know you are supposed to use oil with a lsd additive. Besides that I have no clue why. Daniel seems to know otherwise though ....
