Spindles are going on tomorrow, but I just found a wrecked 4x4 close to me that I may go pull the cv's and front diff out of next week. Hmmmmm

 

Do you already have a transfer case and front driveshaft?

 

No, just going to start collecting parts. I'll need all that, plus a transmission and rear driveshaft. Hahah

'Preciate the responses to my tire posts. Finally got to the shop today and they installed a new set of ATX2's. Same size. So far, the truck feels like a new machine. There must have been something way wrong with one or more of the last set. Truck is more responsive, suspension and steering don't feel heavy or sluggish....I had to double check that they put the same size tires on there. The difference is that much. Very happy with tires now. Tire place is Costco. They made it right and went beyond what I thought they would by giving me 4 new tires.

Thinking about it. Want to regear first, but 4x4 is pretty tempting.

 

Get 4x4 first, then regear.

 

4x4 on 35's no regear. Uggggh. Gonna be a tank

 

Yeah, but it makes sense to regear 2 axles at the same time, than to do the rear, then have to go back and do the front.

 

True. Or just do the front when I buy the diff and drop $400 on the diff from ecgs. I'm sure that's about what it would cost to get from an individual.

What winches is everyone running? Particularly Gid and Levi since we all have brute force bumpers. You guys have smittys?

 

X20 10k. Bitch goes through lakes and mud pits every time possible and has worked great for 4 years. As mentioned in here about this winch before, just swap out the grease in the gears for a high temp synthetic and you're good to go. I also moves my solenoid box to the engine bay

 

This is what I have my eyes on. I need to figure out what front bumper I want though. Aluminum or steel, and from what vendor.
