Would you change anything if you could go back and do it again?

No much different than stock. Biggest thing is noticeable backlash where the pin floats between the two halves. It's like having a bad U joint on the rear drive shaft. Torqued the PISS out of my U bolts to keep it happy.

Like difference in ground speed and drive train speed. From a stop it will some times clunk when you put it in gear, depends on the state of the diff. When driving if you let off the gas and engine breaking is a factor then it may clunk when you get back on the gas. All depends on what the pin is doing in relation to the locker halves. It's not noisy, I sometimes hear one side disengage during low speed turns, but you can feel it.

Yep. I've described this before. With the truck just sitting, you can rotate the driveshaft probably 1/4 turn. That's the play in the locker. That play, combined with the added axle wrap from the leverage created from the torque is why I almost feel guaranteed that if I revved it and dumped the clutch on the pavement I'd break everything in my drivetrain. Haha I won't even shift my truck hard because that momentary disengage of power to reengage creates an effect that feels like someone rear ended me. But all this comes with having a mechanical locker. It's part of what you signed up for and I personally love it. Makes me feel like I'm driving a race truck of some sorts ....... Obviously not a drag race truck. Lol

In short, no way. The benifits of added traction on the trails and over the obstacles plus not having to hear Gid shouting at me for not having a locker should greatly out way the backlash issue. And because race truck.
Edit: Though, if you have an extra pile o' cash laying around I would definitely get the selectable ARB.

Hmm. No extra pile o cash just chilling, but may just store my tax refund until I can go with an Arb and gears all at once. iirc I was quoted $1950 otd for an assembled 3rd with 4.56's and an Arb then I'd get the $400 core charge once I sent mine back.

Yeah you might. Not too long ago, you didn't even want a truck at all. Haha

Greetings from a snowy UT Medical Center!

The Taco has been a champ in the snow and the rear locker in 2wd made for some excellent parking lot donuts.

I took both of those on the way home. 4wd made short work of it but there's definitely alot of dummies out there who should NOT be on the road.

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
I backed out of my garage this morning and it took 6 ft to stop. Rest of trip was fine though.
