What's actually holding the tire in the strap?

 

It's a metal frame that bolts into the bedrails and rests on the bed floor, then the strap holds it in place. I found a pic of one with no tire in it on google.



And here is someone that moved it to the end of the bed and removed their tailgate.

Well I just got ran out of another car wash lol. Pulled in, unspooled my winch, pulled the weathertechs, and changed 40$. The owner was waiting at my truck. He explained their policies on muddy offroad vehicles and pointed to a sign. I complied. He spent the next minute checking out my truck in silence as I respooled and tossed my floor liners in the back seat. Might head back over at 1 am lunch break HAHA!

/own a pressure washer

 

I always go to this unmanned, 24hr one by where I used to live. Spent $20 last night to get the truck clean-ish/96% of the mud off/out from the suspension and underneath. Hit it once with the pressure washer in the wash bay, then hit the soft cloth automated booth we have.

Damn, i have alot more scratches

 

What is this car wash thing you speak of throwing money at?
I've got a 7 year old hose in the driveway you can use for $20 per hour.

 

Well I own a pressure washer. Bought it at a yardsale last fall and haven't tried to start it yet. Another thing on my toooo doooos list lol

 

Yeah. There is usually no one there when I go. This time the attendant spotted me. Oh well. I understand why they don't want me in there. Just figured I'd give it a shot.

 

For me, easiest way to get a lot of the mud off is to drive across the ford in the river near my land...then run it through the wash.

 

When I drove into that bay and went back and forth a bit it did a good job cleaning out skids & brakes. But, I think that might also have contributed to my fog lights having moisture now.

 

Trailer passed inspection today I could have plates by next week.

 

Plates on a utility trailer??? Why?

 

In order to go out of state you have to have plates. Plus it being home made I had to have it inspected to be able to pull it on the road legally.

 

Dang, I honestly had no idea. I built my trailer too. Never been inspected. Pulled it through 5 different states.

 

A second KnoxTaco??? There can be only 1. Or 2 I guess.

I should be able to make it.
