Planning a big trip for after I graduate. Granted I have over a year to still plan but I'm already excited. Planning on doing the trans america trail (TAT) from Asheville, NC to the Oregon coast. Supposed to take a little over 3 weeks. I already have a list of almost $4000 of stuff I would like to have done by then and I could easily get it to nearly $6000 but I'm trying to cut down. I know I don't need to get too crazy because I've seen stock LR4s do it. Its very difficult to not go mod crazy though...[IMG]

Depending on when/ how long, I may want to do it with you. But what's your list? 35's and gears? Lol or just 33's and then bedrack, rtt, maybe a locker, etc..

Not totally sure what you mean. It will be with my truck, guided by GPS and paper maps.

The trails really don't require 35's or lockers. I'll be fine with some 285s or 295s

Snorkel is just because I want a snorkel.. and I've got an engineering buddy here at school with the skills needed for some armor and skids.

O.K. Only reason I asked is because I Googled the Trans America trail, and came up with a coast to coast bicycle tour route by that name..

Ohhhh yeah it was originally an "offroad" motorcycle route (they have a special name but I can't think of it). It is passable by a 4x4 though.

@TacoBurrito07 are those b110's for stock location, or what? And you'll have to watch that bumpstop, those shocks are meant for a lot more lift than you'll have.

Yeah stock location. They would be paired with a dakar pack with the dakar AAL. Should be a little over 3" in the rear. They are for 3-4"

We'll see how the new leaf packs are though. I may just have that pack with a wheelers 3 leaf with the overload left in if the packs are decent. I could keep my regular 5100s in that case.

I thought dakars were only 3" at most. That's why I said something.

Makes sense. I've contemplated taking a leaf out of my expos to soften it up a little, but once I have that tore carrier on it I'll need to strength. Lol

I'm thinking about just riding on the bumps. No up travel or down travel. It's simpler that way #EAF

    I've narrowed down the list.
Add 1/2" spacer to driver's side and move 1/4" to passenger (I would like a little extra height but this eliminates need for UCAs given that I can get my alignment in spec after replacing the bushings and what not. @allmotorrex @11TRDTX I'm trying to get this done before the end of the semester. Do you have any free weekends coming up that you could assist me?)
Dakars w/o AAL (keep current 5100s and add shock extenders. la0d0g runs this set up and wheels pretty hard)
    Bumpstops+Ubolt flip kit
    285s
    IFS Skid
    Bed Rack
    RTT
    Recovery gear
