No not really. I spent all day yesterday doin some stuff. Mainly trying to get the dirt and stuff out of the floorboard and from inside the doors. Today I'm gonna get the firewall carpet/padding out as its still wet and I'm sure it smells fantastic. Haha I'm still not sure if I'm gonna even do anything to the floor. It would be a bedliner type material I would spray/roll on but the stock floor looks fine. You can hardly even tell there's no carpet with my weather techs in.

Ordered new brake pads cause mine are almost dead. Gonna order a new radiator cause fuck this one and a new alternator cause it's draining my battery and replace the belt. Sounds like I need to pull my trans and lube my clutch and TOB as well. It's pretty noisy. Sarah's gotta use it Thursday for some stuff at work so brakes and clutch will be priority.

 

Oh and I'm really not looking forward to fucking with those lcas. It was way too much work to replace the ball joints and bushings. Gonna swap out those steering rack bolts/bushings first and see if that helps at all

 

Where are you getting an alternator from? I'm about to order one as well.

 

Best bet is to stay stock, costs more but at least it will still be dense and not some crap brand

 

I was looking at the upgraded ones from that vendor on here. One of the 200a ones. Just because I plan on adding a winch here soon and am trying to keep from going dual battery or some crazy ass big single.

Auto zone wants $170 plus tax and a $45 core charge for a duralast with lifetime warranty.

 

My problem with the stock alternator is it's just not strong enough with added stuff. My winch seems to struggle at idle even with my batteries linked. I also only have a 80a stock and do not want another one. I messaged that bama dude 2 weeks before lbl about an alternator and he never messaged back. Then Matt's thing happened. Now it could just be a coincidence that it went out after 3 weeks of use and one mud trip and I was there to witness it but I don't have much confidence in the product now considering my stock one has been through 8 years of Gideon abuse and still hasn't gone out.

 

Need isn't the right question. Haha and I guess want wouldn't be a better question. I'm like 007 ..... I prefer to work alone .....

 

So are you going to get another factory one? I have a 130a one so its not super weak, but I don't want to run into those problems down the road
