Did the bolts work though?

 

The only bad thing about that is my subs wouldn't work. I hate listening to music without my subs hahaha.

 

Something like this would be cool, and not too difficult.

 

That's the one I was thinking about. Idk (if I got my hands on a second set of doors cheap) that I'd go that low though. I'd have to cut a little bit, drive it around, cut some more, etc...

 

I like the built in cupholder on the 4runner.

 

Those 4Runner ones are slick. Looks like the tops have a cover plate riveted or bolted on. That's probably the biggest challenge is producing a smooth finish on top after you cut.

Well the one that I've used did! Also.. I definitely put the overload back in the opposite direction it was in before.. Is it symmetrical? The only reason I know is because the clip that was on the front has a hole for the brake line bracket. It appears to be symmetrical though other than that. Do I need to change it or it alright?

 

If your messing with just the back and have the pin lined up in the axel then you are good no alignment needed.

 

Should I flip the other overload around when I get it out as well?

 

I just went outside and measured mine. The pin is the same distance from front to pin as it is pin to back. You should be ok then.

 

Couldn't hurt to be the same but looking at mine the taper is the same and the length is the same. It's not like the lead pack where they are right and left specific. The over load looks to be the same front to back and top to bottom.

 

Yeah I just went to take a look as well. Appears to be the same. I'll probably flip it around on the other side as well just to make sure they stay the same. Also I got nervous there for a minute that I might have put the AAL in wrong as well because I had read that one end may be longer than the other. But its the same as well. So no worries now. Just no where to put that bolt in for the brake line. I have read though that a lot of people just leave it out anyway to reduce stress on the line at full droop. @Kerleyfries didn't you say you did this?

 

I have a hole in the front and back of mine. It has a holder that looks like it keeps the leaf pack from sliding sideways front and back but mine is also an 11.

 

Gotcha. This pack is brand new from the recall so I'm not entirely sure what the difference is.

Thanks man. Yeah recall pack has an extra leaf (3+1) plus an extra retaining clip. Is your truck up for the recall or not kurt?

 

The e-brake cable? I didn't bolt it to the new pack.

 

Is that what it is? Was it bolted to one of the retaining clips on the original packs?
