Still got some work to do to it but main piece is rolled. Yes it's sitting crooked because it isn't cut to length on the legs yet

Water pump chaos!! It look longer to take off gid's skid plate than it did to replace the water pump, i'll gid explain that :D and it was pretty interesting how much mud was packed into the fins of his radiator too. Pics of the chaos:

Put the Toytec spacers, Wheeler's 3 leaf, and Camburg UCAs on the truck today. 5 hours by myself didn't seem too terrible. Would have been 4, but the jaw on my vice broke, so I had to pound out/in the studs for the top plate spacer with a hammer and a socket. Going to get an alignment in the morning.

Maybe tomorrow, or Monday when I'm helping Zachk and Carter. I was going to wait until after the alignment to see where the front wheels ended up sitting in the wheel well. What's the general consensus on caster? I've heard everything from 2.5 to 4 degrees. Since the uppers are in a fixed position, the more they get out of it the farther it will move the wheel forward in the wheel well, correct?

Well ordered everything for the brakes in the rear. Lines fittings stainless lines. Etc... Also got my skid plates being cut out on Monday. Scrapped the piece of tubing for the roll cage and gonna do it a bit different. Hoping to get measurements for the drive shaft tomorrow and get that made... Now to get fuel lines taken care of, and rebuild an axle...

I'd say shoot for somewhere between 2.5 and 3*

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
I went to the 1000 yard shot seminar at bass pro. They're doing drawings at each seminar for $25 gift cards. I was the only one there for that time slot so I pretty much got paid $25 to talk about guns with a pro shooter.

edit: For anyone interested, his 2 main notes on long range shooting are a) any bad habits you have in your shooting method will be exaggerated at long distances and b) a heavier bullet will have more stable flight to target than a smaller/faster bullet.

I agree. I thought 2.4 degree drove ok but I like the feel at 3.0 better.

Ha ha. I was worried we would run out of time Monday so I went ahead and installed my UCAs today. So for me Monday is all about bumping up my coilovers a notch. The passenger side UCA bolt was a common sonofabitch to get out. Pretty smooth other than that.

Oh... I also did something I swore I'd never do. Sway bar is gone. :D

I had more trouble with the driver's side than the passenger. Passenger side I bend the inner fender out a little, then pounded one spot on the inside by the AC line and it came out no problem. Driver's side I had to remove a bracket for a harness, bend and beat some sheet metal, and cuss a few times. I guess we'll have plenty of time to cut the fuck out of Zachk's truck now. Bumping your coilovers up shouldn't be a big deal. When are you planning on getting an alignment done?

Welcome to the club, you'll love it. I much prefer the ride on road with it off, and it can only do better off road without it. The wife drove my truck to work a couple days this week while I put the UCAs on her 4runner and took it to get aligned and the wheels rebalanced. She had nothing bad to say about not having a swaybar on the truck, so it must be pretty streetable without it.

There shall be no fuck left in it when we are done. Haha

I'm going for an alignment when I leave zachk's Monday. I'm really shocked at how well it drives after my eyeball alignment. The body roll is definitely there now, but it's nothing I can't get used to.
