Thoughts on using JB Weld to patch my aluminum elocker housing? I believe it is the cause of my locker woes.

Probably not a good idea, but worst case scenario you replace the housing that already needs replacing.

Possible. He hasn't been to keen on building another from my understanding, plus dyf is getting put on hold.

Have you checked the junk yards to see if they have a wrecked 1st gen that you could get the housing from?

 

Nope. Need it for this weekend. My plan is to source one this summer. There's a write up where the guy patches his with fiberglass so surely JB will hold for the time being.

I'd put a small sliver of something over the hole, then jb that in place. Like maybe a piece of a can or something, since jb is pretty liquidy.

 

Well I'll figure it out tomorrow and post up some post surgery pictures. I could only find one of the two tubes of JB Weld.

 

Finally got my drawer system sealed and painted! Now I'm ready to go off roading and not have things slide around in my bed.

What kind of damage are we talking? I'd do red gasket maker before jb weld. Especially if it's a crack
