Made it safely at 3pm. Now to just get rid of the trailer so my truck can go back to normal instead of the bro lean it has.

Thanks! It's nice to be back. Looks like I'm going to have a lot of free time now. I don't start work till the 20th of June. What to do with my free time?? (Explore maybe) lol

 

Might be too soon, but I'm still heading to the Dirt Devil on Sunday. It would also be an early start for you, as I'm planning on pulling out of Leiper's Fork around 0800.

 

My rear plate bumper is shipping finally.
For paint, should I do simple gloss black rattle can same as on sliders or go for metallic automotive paint Plus clear like I did for rims? Cost difference is negligible.

 

Do that rustoium textured shit that gid uses.

But pink would clash with the red on my wheels & skids...

tried to finish the doors tonight...ran outa wire. WHAT A NEWB mistake! gotta wait til tomorrow.

when i opened the side door last, I thought I had enough....survey says----->NOPE

 

I went ahead and wire wheeled them to see how theyll look finished. overall im way happy, mainly cuz i did he work myself. I hate that you can tell it was done in inch sections, idk how to nicely merge each section (if its even possible). And you can def tell which welds I did today versus yesterday. It went WAY smoother today, technique wise, as opposed to yesterday.

 

Yeah use this stuff. It looks awesome and holds well. Just be sure to prep the metal correctly

 

You can def blend welds. It's all in the stopping and starting. You just need more practice

It's a cool place. If you want to wheel, go to the park at turkey bay. If you want to explore, there's tons of fire roads.

 

The mud holes, the hill climbs, the lake, the relentless ass pounding destruction of my truck ....... yep, that place hates me. Well you know what? Ditto mothafucker!!!!!!!
