THE ARE FUCKING GARBAGE. can I make myself any clearer. do NOT spend your hard earned money there. They are incompetent to anything other than a jeep with a stereotypical lift (i.e. blocks). use wheelers, downsouthmotorsports, toytec, etc, and get some local TW member to help install if you're worried about it (4runner and tacoma are like 99% the same, possible different rear end though).

you have been warned haha

Bilsteinlifts.com carries that same spacer lift. I'd give them my money before 4wp. Also: if it's of any consideration, I'd say damn near 100% of people who go with spacer lifts end up replacing them relatively soon due to ride. I'd save up the extra 3-400 and get a 5100's and new springs on all 4 corners. OR get 5100's on all 4 corners and new springs just in the rear.

Or no new springs in the rear, as every 4runner I've seen (including my wife's) sits ass high. 5100s up front on the second notch would probably level it out and allow you to fit 32s, possibly 33s with a little heat gun time. What year 4runner is it anyway?

Hers is a 2015 4Runner. She wants a full 3" lift lol. As long as the spacer lift doesn't preload the spring the ride "should" stay about the same. (Every vehicle is different with how they ride with lifts installed) 4WP will not be installing the lift. If I can purchase the lift there and pick it up local and save me some money since I won't have to pay for shipping I say win. Lol

And 5100's in the rear. You can't go wrong with that setup for the price.

Yes for the love of God don't fuck with 4wp. If you do, I'd order online anyway. And I'd reconsider a spacer lift for the wife. I can't imagine if you told her ride quality is compromised for a lift that she would be excited about that. A spacer lift will always negatively affect ride quality. Think of it as putting a taller coilover on but replacing 2" of spring with a solid piece of metal. So not only are you changing the location of the suspension travel (now 2" lower) but you are also shortening the stroke of the shock and spring creating a smaller dampening zone. So numerous things can happen ....... you can create coil bind, you can make other factory parts over extend their operable range of motion, you effectively make the shock dampening and spring rate less effective and you put a weak point in an area where otherwise didn't have one.

I bet you can lift that bitch under $500 and make all these negatives irrelevant all while looking like you know what you're doing and pleasing the wife. I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!!

Is she going off roading and beating the shit out if her truck or is this thing a mall queen ? If the answer is mall queen then get whatever fits your budget. people get fucking wrapped up in what they have or what they do they will suggest any and everything but when in reality most people have spacer lifts and the just don't say anything. I've had one Gideon's had one LEVI had one. Our trucks still run and run fine. Only person I can personally say had an issue was Weston but his dumb ginger fuktard ass (still love you man) jumper his damn truck with 6" spacers and other suspension components. If your wife drives like a dumb and tries to hit every pot hole or ever speed bump like dukes of hazard then yeah she's gonna fuck shit up.

Hahahahahahaha so funny. What a tard! And yeah I've told my story of having a spacer lift and I DID beat on my truck for 2 years with it. That led to blown shocks but it was kinda expected. I sure didn't say "don't run a spacer lift" I said "I'd reconsider it". Also if his budget really is $500 then he can afford better then that. No matter what his wife does with that 4runner, ride quality will be compromised with a spacer lift. Something very prevalent to consider

Her 4Runner is going to be a pavement princess lol. She won't be doing any off roading and avoids pot holes and goes slow over speed bumps lol.

If a spacer lift doesn't pre-load the springs then ride quality should stay close to the same. I'm just not so sure about the 5100's. I've heard a lot of people aren't happy with how they ride.

And yet there are several of us who are currently running them.... i'm telling you man, the 5100's are a great option for lifting without sacrificing ride quality or breaking the bank. I was able to lift my truck front and rear for right at $500.

Those can later. I'm trying to prove the point that you can lift a taco or a 4Runner for $500

Haha yeah I'm at around $550 with assembly and without the UCAs. I also got my AAL for free though.

But the UCAs are coming soon :spy:

That's the other thing, with 3" of lift on a 4runner, you're likely going to need UCAs. I did on the wife's. It couldn't even get close to spec with stock UCAs.

Toytec Ultimate. It rides like a dream and looks fantastic, but it was pricey. I knew the wife would not compromise on ride quality, and I honestly think it drives better now than it did stock.

Dang that looks good! Yea the wife would flip a lid if I spent that much on her lift when she isn't going to use it to its full potential. Lol
