    Is $175 fair for OME 885 coils on the 9000 struts? They have 65000 miles on them and still rode pretty good.

    I never touched the grill on my 13 with my plate, it's held in just like you described Daniel but I've never heard it moving around. Weird. BTW........where's the pics of your said plate bumper?!

    The whole setup has that many miles? I'd say that's too much then. I'm not sure what the life expectancy is on those shocks but can't be much left. Most shops suggest 60k miles. I'll give you 3 dollhairs and a small garbage can

    I always thought the shops suggesting a 50k or 60k change were the same shops trying to sell parts. :rolleyes:

    It's usually over 100k before I can notice poor behavior from normal shocks/struts like these.

    That's them! They do all the Louisville city fire trucks among other things....They did my truck after the last lift change and it is about as perfect as any 4wd I've ever driven.

    Best thing is, they never gave me one word of conflict when I had my own "specs" that were different than oem. They just did what I asked and did it well.

    No idea of how long the usefull life of an OME shock is, but I'd guess it's not too far off that of a Bilstein....When I pulled the stock 4600's off and replaced them with 5100's (that are valved IDENTICAL as 4600's) there was an enormous improvement in the ride. Those 4600's had 71,000 miles on 'em. They were toast. With that as a point of comparison, the OME's couldn't have much quality life left in them if any at all. JMHO......

    I was planning to go at least 100 more on coils. Only changed now because needed stiffer springs for added weight of bumper.

    I think they've still got plenty of useful life in them.

    $100 gets them.
