Especially when you're in the middle of the woods at night, alone. Even if you know what it is, you never really know...

Cutting grass....Decided to skip one cutting and let it get a bit longer. Plan WAS to save some time on the mower.

    Backfired......:frusty:

Had to mow some of it 3 times to get all the clippings ground up. Ran out of gas TWICE. Weedeater bump feed head went crazy....feeds out 2' at a time instead of 4". Leaf blower is hard to start with switch in off position. 8 acres of grass is WAY too much.

Note to anyone thinking they want a huge yard. I bought 8 acres when I was 42. Brilliant move! Now I'm 59 and would trade it in a heartbeat for a patio home with no yard to take care of. 4 to 5 hours every 5 or 6 days when it's getting plenty of rain......Mowing sucks.

Peacock feathers are money... The peacocks on the family farm were my favorites. The fox and raccoons ended up killing them off. They run around wild back in my hometown and they tear up some vehicles.

They'll shed them. Lol. My mom has a vase of peacock feathers from 20+ years ago from the farm, just make sure you wash them. Next time youre near a Michael's craft store, check the price on feathers. I remember seeing two or three feathers for almost ten dollars last time. To me, thats outrageous. But I was spoiled with free in my younger years.

Be careful with males. They get cocky and try to fight their reflections. You should see how one can damage the side of a vehicle.

Ours were in a huge enclosed pen on the farm, so many predators out there, ever seen a bird kill a bird?

    That's crazy.
HA ha. I've seen wild turkey's fight their reflections. Hopefully these will behave, and not get eaten, but it wont be the end of the world if they don't.

Got a hitch mount cargo tray the other day from Northern Tool.
    What a POS!
Thin metal, weak bolts, and it didn't even fit my receiver. The thin wall square tube they use has sharper corners so it hit on the more rounded corners of my receiver tube. Too thin to grind and not worth hammering.

Going to look for steel today and make my own tray.

So this Whelen 100 watt speaker at the "products discussed in this thread" field; is that a really loud CB/PA announcement speaker? Or is it literally a siren? The POS speaker I have in mine is lacking a little umph, and a small and much louder one would be great.... Anyone use this one?

Sounds like a good time...... not. But i got a chuckle out of the leaf blower being hard to start with the switch in the off position

It's like one of those police warning sirens. I was thinking it'd be a cool/funny replacement for horns since my low side horn is out. @beertimecontinuum rolls around with one

Did you ever figure out your bolt issue?
