Amy likes attending our meets, never wants to go wheeling otherwise except to camp (which is fine), but HATES me spending time/money on the truck. Can't convince her how the two go together lol

 

Kari hates camping, and gets car sick so she can't go wheeling. She understands the point and functionality of a lift, tires, armor, etc... she just has a hard time justifying things like that when i only go wheeling once or twice a year. ..... which means I need to go wheeling more. But there's no where around here that's worth a damn to wheel on a weekend.

No set rule of thumb.....It's USUALLY better when a wife and/or girlfriend likes your hobbies, but that doesn't always mean peace and harmony. My wife loves off roading, loves nature, doesn't care much for camping, hates sports, doesn't care for guns even though she owns several, loves to fish, doesn't care for shopping, and a host of other things....But, we're a perfect balance for each other. We find time to do a lot of things together, but have a lot of things we do separately. You need time together and you need time apart. And it ALL depends on the two individuals. What works for me and my wife may just not be what you and yours need to have a happy life. Most important things.....TRUST, RESPECT, and DETERMINATION TO MAKE IT WORK. All the rest will work itself out as you go.

so you need to share some but have some of your own.

I used to rock climb A TON from 12 yrs old through about 20. I met a chick through climbing and she was as hard core as I was which seemed great at the time. Personality and stuff aside (obviously i liked her personality since I dated her) since she was as into climbing as I was we did it together a lot...which started to suck bc I felt everytime my friends and I wanted to go, I HAD to invite her so she wouldnt feel left out. this may be my fault but its still what I thought I needed to do. it became where my "downtime" (climbing) no longer became my down time. I broke it off with her after about 6 months and decided I would never date a girl seriously (long term) who had he exact same big hobby as me since its something I enjoyed to get away from others.

now heather, doesnt really like offroading but she does like camping. we go wheeling just to spend more time with me and "suffers" through the riding (as you all know she brings her kindle anyway and reads the whole time and SUCKS at spotting which is why my passenger side is pinstriped from headlight to tail light). I love flying and she actually enjoys that too which is the other thing (including O/Ring) that we do together and enjoy the time we spend. Outside of that, we have different smaller alone time "hobbies" that keeps us away from each other.

Long story short, I think most everyone would agree you need 1-2 (although there is no set number ofcourse) things you enjoy together but YOU NEED your man time and she needs her woman time. heather does crafts and shit..I work on the truck and play video games and hunt. It works very well for us but i also understand that i need to manage my time and hobbies so we can also just have "deep couch sitting" time where we just was some shows at night together to unwind. Theres no hard and fast rules except be willing to give and take (dont be afraid to take) and everything works out.

Well guys it's finally happening. I'm marrying Stacey in November and adopting my little girl so much for anything other than that dad bod :-/

 

Haven't began to search yet. But I'm at the dealership getting alignment #3 done following lift and they say the passenger side LCA bushing is seized. Anyone ever have that happen?

 

Just the cheap ones you and gid used. And the style you have I guess. Do I have that many options?
