I've read to stay away from extended shackles. Like you said it messes with the angles and also doesn't "mesh" quite right with the springs. Better off sticking stock height

 

Ya exactly. From what I've seen in videos of my setup the shackles force the leaf to sit more flat and the leafs essentially oscillate from positive to negative arch rather than the shackles pivoting/rotating.

Edit: BoxRocket has videos of his OME setup on YouTube and his shackles don't have much rotational movement either and the angles aren't that great either

 

My shackles move ALOT. At full droop, they pass the vertical line and point toward the front of the truck.

Re-read that. I assume you're talking about the length limiting the rotation of the shackle during compression/up travel.

Does a longer shackle give more or less angle at ride height?

 

No bedside hoops for me, and no hybrid for sure. I have a plan that will look similar to the front.
