How has yours done so far? I've got pretty high hopes for it. The factory battery tie down doesn't fit exactly perfectly so I may order an aftermarket one soon.

How long did yall get out of your original batteries? I can't believe I haven't had to replace mine yet. Over 3 years old and 2 of those spent in Alaska with many many sub zero starts. It's never let me down though.

so my truck started some vibes just last week. feels like rumble strips, cyclical, just much more subtle. most defined around 20-30 mph but noticeable up to 45-50, and goes away in 4wd. I only have 41k miles on it...

so far I've: changed oil, greased driveshaft, checked for play in front bearings (by grabbing the tires), checked play in carrier bearing (but I've never replaced one so I don't know how much play is ok), put it on jack stands and checked for balance in driveshaft just by watching it, and tried to repeat the noise/vibe without success (2wd and 4wd), visually inspected for any backed out bolts, checked tire pressure and lugs (kind of a "duh" thing).

after doing this on Saturday, I couldn't get it to come back. truck sounded perfect. but on sunday, while pulling out of a parking spot I had a clunk on either side in the rear and the vibes started up again. freaked me out.

so next I'm going to check the torque on every bolt on the suspension, and probably go ahead and change the diffs and t-case oil if only to inspect them... other than that I can't really think of anything it could be other than possibly the carrier bearing or the driver side needle bearing which has a little extra play in it, but that doesn't explain the clunk... ugh...

    any ideas??

that might explain the clunk but not the vibes. i'll check the torque on everything tonight, nothing looks backed out but that doesn't mean anything...

could be driver side needle bearing. it has significantly more play than the passenger

If the rear is clunking the pinion may be pitching up and down causing vibes in the u-joints and carrier. I tighten the FUCK out of my u-bolts :D

I suspect needle bearing for cyclic vibe. Mine started to be noticable since weather went cold but roads near dealer are rough so they couldn't hear it over the other road noise there. They said 60k mile powertrain warranty covers if it is needle bearing. (I'm at 35.5k)

Mine is loose, clunky in your hand, but I've still never noticed any noise or vibes from it. Doing the ECGS bushing anyway when I gear it.

yeah, i might do ecgs bushing before long. Depends on whether vibes get worse. (how soon they worsen)

not excited about letting dealer work on it even if it is in warranty.
